I first met her in January, around New Year's. I figured she was an NPC from the very beginning because of two reasons. One, she figured out my name using her phone -- which means that we can assume that either she made the phones herself at an earlier date, around September, or the one who created her did it. Especially since the list of names don't come with pictures. Second was her strange way of speaking. She tended to mimic words that I had just said to her prior, which in itself was totally annoying.

Also her name. Her first name, Ai, is written with the Japanese character for 'love', which isn't uncommon. But there's irony to that because NPCs themselves can't feel love, or rather, not 'true love', anyway.

[ She then turns around, and shoots a shadow that just showed up behind her. She has good reflexes, after all.. ]

The second part is that her name actually refers to < artificial intelligence >, or basically anything that was originally a robot, or in this case, and NPC, and developed beyond its original intent.

Also her last name, Shinoda, if you know enough modern day Japanese history, is a name that refers to Kenichi Shinoda, or rather, Shinobu Tsukasa, who is the current kumicho of the Yamaguchi-gumi. But there's nothing about him having a daughter or a wife at all.

Another thing that was strange is that even though her name is listed on the phones, you can't actually send a message to her. When you try, it just bounces back. Even if you did give the excuse of being good with technology, it's very likely that the phones were created with the Angel Player technology as a base.

Also... they messed up big time when they said that Ai was released in early October. Because I think she wasn't released then. I think she was released in mid-October, though she was already created by early September at the latest, if we keep in mind that the phones were created at the time.

Plus, I think that she was the one who stopped the glitches for a bit, too.

...I think that's it for now. We'll probably get confirmation from her if we speak to her now, though. Since I'm pretty certain that she'll tell us the truth while the shadows are in play.
