[It's been a while now since the shadows took over the afterlife, and Yata still wasn't used to it. It wasn't even the shadows that he minded, to be honest—it was living in a house with a couple of girls. They weren't particularly awful girls, and sure, it beat waking up in strange places all over the afterlife all of a sudden (he's so glad that glitch is over), but he'd never been good with girls, okay, it's still pretty much torture.
Still, Yata might be shy, but he's not rude (at least, he's not rude on purpose), so today, he's busy in the kitchen making dinner to share.
