[ TOTALLY SPELLED WITH KANJI OKAY. I don't know if you've realised yet, but Leon is practically Dangan Ronpa's Battler (hence why Yuri feels so attracted to him right now, right). But either way, he's thinking of western spelling since that happened to come up right before he died.. ]

But Leo sounds weird! Isn't that just a different western name?
