WHAT: Riki gets un-NPCed
WHEN: April 25th
WHERE: In the hallways of the school
WARNINGS: Leon tends to have somewhat of a pottymouth, probably some violence later when the shadows happen?
SUMMARY: Leon finally gets over his own selfishness and tsun in order to actually help someone. Amazing. Haruhi ends up saving his ass from becoming an NPC as well.
[ This is so fucking stupid.
All of it is. This whole situation, everything that's happened lately-- it's all so stupid. They should just have handed in Ai and had it all done with, why is it worth going through all this trouble? So many of them are NPCs, so many people he knows too, and.. it's really, really bothering him. He's constantly paranoid when he's out there that some shadows might jump him too and turn him into an NPC, and the way it makes him feel reminds him way too much of how paranoid he felt back in that school while he was still alive.
It's making him sick.
But what makes his thoughts even worse is the fact that there's a feeling he can't place entirely. He's talked to his old roommate as an NPC and it just.. felt so weird. Not right. Sure, it's not like he was the closest buddies with Riki ever or anything - has he ever been like that with anyone? - but the guy actually gave him the time of day. And in a sense, it was almost like he really did acknowledge Leon as a friend. Something that hasn't happened a lot, mostly because of Leon's own ego, but still.
It makes him feel indebted. A feeling he doesn't understand whatsoever and tries to deny with all his might, but just denying it isn't enough. It keeps bothering him, and today he's finally had it. He doesn't even care, whatever, he'll just try to turn Riki back to normal after all the stuff he heard before. Not like he's doing it because he might actually give a shit about the guy, whatever..!
So in a fit of tsun Leon stomps through the hallways of the school, his baseball bat in one hand - just in case - but he's more busy looking around to spot Riki in the crowd of students than the shadows. And it doesn't take too long before he finds the guy. ]
Naoe..! [ Well, someone sure sounds worked up today. ]

Did you join the baseball team? [I mean, why else would he have a bat on him...]

[ But this isn't the time to be tsundere for balls. Not when he's come here with a clear goal into his mind. Haruhi said that love can save them, and if it's not love, then maybe feelings of friendship, so.. maybe he can try something like that? Remember one of the most meaningful chats he's had with Riki, remind him of that-- if he can't do that, then Leon's not sure what else would even work, really.
Still, dealing with his own emotions while trying to figure this whole mess out is really frustrating, and he pulls a hand through his hair like he doesn't even know what to do with himself. ]

The words make him feel weird all the way to his stomach. To think that Riki forgot all about his friends - his actual friends, the ones he had dreams with and promises and a future before he died - and instead only remembers him is not something he's entirely sure how to deal with. Not that a part of him isn't glad to hear Riki consider him a friend (even if he'd never admit it) but if this is the method to reach that, then that's just wrong.
His confusion - as usally - just manifests in anger and irritableness. ]
