did you fall from heaven because you're the only ten i see
WHO: Inigo and Haruhi
WHAT: Inigo's arrival
WHEN: April 2nd
WHERE: Near the classroom buildings
WARNINGS: Potential violence with shadows mmmmaybe. Otherwise I got nothin'
SUMMARY: Inigo wakes up in the afterlife, wonders where the heckie he is, comes across Haruhi, questions her, finds out he's dead, cries like a baby, and receives a kitchen knife. Insert flirting somewhere in the middle of that.
[Waking up in the afterlife is... startling, to say the least. Of course, Inigo has no idea this actually is the afterlife, and is mostly assuming that he's simply dreaming of some world with weird buildings and weird people in weird clothing with weird black shadowy things lurking here and there. Are those supposed to be this world's risen? Maybe.
All he knows is that he's here, whether for real or not, and he's wearing a uniform(?) that is most certainly not his own. Also his sword is gone. How's he supposed to fight against these not!risen? Gah.
Fortunately, as he wanders around avoiding said not!risen, he comes across a certain gal with a headband (who is very pretty, by the way...), and decides asking her what's going on may be a good idea. Probably. Definitely. Yeah.
And so he'll walk on over to her.]
Ah, hello there, miss. You are looking quite lovely today. Would you be so kind as to lend me a minute of your time?

[ Haruhi doesn't really mind the flirting, but right now isn't exactly the time. There are shadows around and she can't just simply talk to people like this-
But that's when she snaps back to reality, realizing that he's most likely not an NPC. ]
... Ah, sure. As long as you drop the flirting I don't mind helping you.
no subject
[Don't count on it; he'll probably get back to it soon enough, okay. But for now he'll just go ahead and get right to the point, since he does want some help.]
You see, I just woke up and found myself here a little while ago, but I'm not quite sure where exactly this is.
[He's still pretty sure he's dreaming or something, considering how weird this place looks. But hey, even if it is a dream, he'd like to get involved and figure out where he is...]
no subject
[ That confirms her thoughts immediately, nodding her head in response as she grins, placing her hands on her hips. ]
Sorry about this, but this is the afterlife. You came at a pretty bad time.
no subject
[...
.......
...hah...
...hahahahahaha aaaahahah okay so this is definitely a dream!! yeah!!]
I see! That would explain a lot. I admit this would not be my first time dreaming about being dead, but it's certainly the first time I've done so with the afterlife looking as peculiar as this one.

[ Her voice is deadpan, yet at the same time, she's completely and utterly serious! For the most part...! ]
Because I'm sure as hell not shooting you.
no subject
[And then he reaches a hand up to pinch his own forearm and...
...
Ah, he definitely felt that. Which may be apparent in his brief hesitance, but then he picks up again.]
...definitely a dream! I didn't feel a thing. Not at all.
no subject
[ Why is she even going along with this.....
Oh.
Right. There's something that's more important right now and it's heading at them directly at 12 o'clock. ]
Move out of the way now.
[ Because there's no way she's letting someone get turned into a shadow yet. Especially if they're new. ]
no subject
Though apparently included in that dream are those not!risen... things... The one of which Haruhi is panicking about Inigo quickly looks over at.
--Ah. He has no weapon on him, that's right. And as far as he knows, neither does this girl. But better him than her, which is why he takes a step forward.]
Stay behind me! I'll take care of this and protect you.

[ She'll pull her gun out of her holster that was right underneath her skirt, knowing that if the shadow gets to him, he'll turn into an NPC. Which is why she'll push (or attempt to, in any case) him out of the way so she can get a better aim at it.
She has enough bullets for this one, at least. ]
no subject
You don't intend to fight it with that, do you?!
[It's just a black block in a sort of L shape! What good will that do?]
no subject
[ Serious voice mode as she clutches tightly onto the gun, her eyes narrowing before her finger slowly pulls at the trigger, a bullet quickly heading towards the shadow's general direction. But she's going to do it several times. If only to make sure that it dissipates. ]
no subject
[...how it's useful, is what he would say. But once she fires away and he sees it in action, his question is preeetty much answered. In fact, he yelps upon hearing it go off because-- holy cow that's kind of scary. And watching that shadow get hit by it... what kind of strange dream afterlife is this?!]
Ah-- ahah... Well, what do you know. [It actually does work. And he may or may not be afraid of it, though he does his best to keep from making shaky words.]
no subject
[ She's aware that people can come from different timepoints and things like that, so she is quite aware of what people's reactions could be. She'll take a deep breath as she lowers the gun slowly. ]
Sorry about that; the shadows have been increasing in number lately and I get really on edge if I see anybody turning into an NPC.
no subject
[It's terrifying, goodness. But it did the job, so it's not so bad after all. It doesn't look like anymore of those things are coming this way yet though, which is good...]
It's quite fine though! I think I should actually be thanking you for that, since you did save me. Granted, I would have preferred it the other way around, but... I don't seem to have my sword or anything on me.
no subject
[ She nods triumphantly as she places the gun back on its holster, grinning wide. ]
Well, everyone in the afterlife only shows up with the school uniform and a cellphone, so I'm not all that surprised.
no subject
On that note, you're saying an awful lot of terms that I don't recognize at all. NPCs... Shadows... Cellphones... Would you mind explaining what they are? Preferably without insisting that this is the afterlife, of course.
no subject
As for a cell phone, I can just show you.
[ And she pulls it out of her pocket. ]
Ta-da~!
no subject
[This is so overwhelming... she's just suddenly dropping this all on him.]
People with no souls?
no subject
[ She'll rub the back of her head awkwardly, laughing it off. She's not used to slowing down, but she might as well to be polite. ]
Yeah. Basically, they're not real people, even if they look like them. Some might have been, in the past... but now, they're just empty shells. Dolls. Or perhaps 'puppets' is a better word?
no subject
[And insisting that there was nothing peculiar going on here in the first place... What a creepy thought though. Ick.]
no subject
[ Her voice is a little melancholic as she speaks, amber eyes dropping for a second or two before she beams right at him. ]
But don’t worry! They’ll be okay. The shadows can’t touch or hurt them, so they should be fine. Even though it’s a little ominous, this isn’t some sort of horror film.
