Ow! Inaba... That's what friends are for, right? I couldn't just leave you like that.

[ Amber eyes lower when he says those words, her lips immediately forming a frown as she creases her brow, fingers rubbing the bridge of her nose, looking rather annoyed. But at the same time, there's something deep down in her heart that is hurt by those words. ]

That's not what I meant. Or do you not remember what I asked you during that conversation you were trying to relive? Tell me why you did that. And don't give me the whole "because we're friends" crap.

[ Her voice cracks slightly as her hand tightens into a balled fist, fingers slowly enclosing tightly around her chest as she says those words. She didn't want to feel this pain again, and it's quickly coming back to her in a rush, memories reeling in as sudden realization washes to her.

She knows now why she acted like that, and she just can't tell him. But even so, she can't help but feel horrible, tears starting at the edges of her eyes. Sniffling them back but failing terribly at doing so, she speaks up again.

Inaba sounds more sympathetic and almost regretful. ]

I just don't get it. Self-sacrificing yourself for something that might not have even worked... Just to tell me something and make me remember things that I wanted to forget... Isn't that just you being selfish and being inconsiderate of my own feelings, Taichi?

[ Her words are cruel and harsh, but that's what she's managed to gather from all of this. ]

[ Her grip tightens, as her eyes lower, wandering across the room. She can't look at Taichi in the eye now. ]

[ And she falls onto her knees, her voice completely broken as her tears start flowing, breaking immediately into choked sobs. ]

A-ah, I'm sorry, Inaba? I mean, I... I didn't want to lose you like that.

[ She's still crying, but her anger rises as she slams her fist onto the floor, still on her knees as she glares up at him with reddened eyes. ]

How do you think I feel? Now that I've remembered everything, I have to keep everything bottled up again! You're not making any sense, Taichi! You're not giving me the answer!
