28th: Today seems as though it’s a normal day, right? Wake up, take a shower, walk outside to head to class and… the NPCs aren’t moving. Stopped mid-step they’re completely frozen all over the school grounds. Some may be in class already and frozen at their desks, others might’ve been frozen as they were walking to or around the school. Maybe you were outside just inside to see them come to a sudden halt. After an hour, they’ll return to normal and continue on as though nothing happened.

29th: The school festival is a month away and it’s time to start planning for it! Classes will get a free period to plan for it today and clubs will need to get together and talk about setting up special activities for the students if they want to participate. GET HYPED.

30th: Do you hear that? Outside of your dorm—in the hallway! It sounds like pitter patter of little feet running up and down the halls… a bunch of them too, and there’s even some little barks here and there. Open your door and SUDDENLY LITTLE SHIBA INU AND GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPIES RUNNING ALL ABOUT. Don’t deny them love, they’re ever so playful and fluffy.

31st: It’s so close to your day off—but the teachers decided they’re going to end this week with a math test. Ew, right? Hope you studied or this is going to suck.

1st: Even in the afterlife your uniform and clothes get a bit dirty from time to time, and it’d be pretty gross if you didn’t wash your underwear so go on, wash your clothes! Or… don’t. The washer’s broken—actually waters starting to spill out of it!!! Now you’re standing in a puddle, oops.

As always, remember there are basketball, kendo, drama and baseball clubs now so practices can be set up whenever you want! And if you want to do something outside of what we've provided, feel free to do so.

[ That's what most people say, but she really wishes more people would accept it since she's kind of tired of hurting her hand just to prove 'hey look we're dead.' Yuri briefly pulls out a knife and knicks the side of her thumb, then holds it out after wiping the bit of blood off. ]

Give it about a minute and it'll be gone.

[Just because he wasn't going to cut himself doesn't mean Yuri should go ahead and cut herself instead! It almost looks as though he's going to smack the knife out of Yuri's hand, but he ends up reacting too late to do anything.]

[When he looks down at Yuri's thumb he can see the small wound is already looking a lot better than it did a moment ago. Huh. He really doesn't know what to say to that.]

I know. It sucks and I don't like doing it but you newbie dumbasses don't believe anything unless you see something spectacular and it's this or shoving you out a window.

[ As something of an afterthought, she adds: ] Personally I feel this gives a little more good will.

Well don't you think what you're saying is hard to believe at first?! Telling someone to cut themselves, saying they're dead and-

[Oh right. Crap. Guess that means he really is dead then. Since her thumb healed up and all. If he had trouble figuring out what to say before the penny dropped then he's really in a rut now.

His expression flits between one of sadness, confusion and anger as he tries to figure out what he should do now. What are you meant to do when you're dead? What about everyone back home, what will happen to them now he's dead? All in all, Caius' changing expressions and the way he starts to look around at the NPCs and the school buildings makes him look even more lost than he was before he was told he was in the afterlife.]

Yeah, if it was easy to believe I wouldn't have done it in the first place.

[ After that comment, she can tell he's kind of freaking out though. And she'll wait for him. She knows how hard it is to accept. After a minute, she adds one thing though: ]

If you get used to it sooner, the less difficult it'll be to function. Everyone here has to come to terms with being dead, whether they accept their lives or not.

[If everyone else here has really come to terms with it then there's no reason for him to not to as well... But he can't help but think about all the friends he made and people he met when he was alive. And his brother, of course, his brother too. There's so much to think about, too much to think about.

Despite his thoughts he manages a nod and a long, drawn out sigh as turns to look back at Yuri.]

I'm not gonna say that I'm going to get used to it right away, but I'll work on it... Uh, thanks, I guess.

[ They all had to face mortality here, despite that it was practically like being immortal. Yuri wiped anything left on her hand off and looked ahead. ]

So uh... What's there to do around here, Yuri?

[He might as well think of something to do to keep his mind off of his own thoughts for a little bit. Plus he has no idea what he should be doing from here on out anyway.]

Plenty of stuff. I usually practice sports or various fighting styles... calligraphy, all kinds. If you want to go to class and learn things you'd normally learn at school, you probably can as long as you don't let it get too normal for you. I also run the SSS.

[ But, she knows there are a lot of people who have different things they like to do. Sometimes even love to do. ] What do you like to do?

... I think I'll skip on going to class, studying really isn't my thing.

[You can get headaches from doing too much of that studying stuff, so no thank you. The fighting styles part sounds a lot more like his kind of thing.]

I fight with a sword, so I like to practice my sword fighting sometimes. I enjoy going camping, making campfires and everything like that, and I'm a great swimmer so swimming is pretty fun too. [...] What's the SSS and caligophy?

[Did he forget how to pronounce calligraphy in the space of about a minute? Yup.]

Well we're surrounded by forests and mountains so you'll be fine with the camping thing, there's a pool and a stream for swimming, and if I decide I like you well enough I can loan you a sword. The SSS is the Shinda Sekai Sensen. It's a battlefront dedicated to stopping these shadows that try to destroy your memories and personality and protect everyone here. Calligraphy is a special kind of writing art.

[It's just as well he didn't pronounce calligraphy right since he won't be saying it again now that he knows it's just writing- But wait, yeah, protecting people. He can get behind something like that.]

Are those shadow things anything like Spots? [...] They're these creatures that invade your body and make a nest out of you, they can cloud your memory too so you don't know what you're doing.

Well, they don't make a nest out of you or anything. They basically swallow you up and spit you out with everything locked away. They're still there, you just can't get to them. And if you find a way to, they'll swarm you again.

[ Spots sounds like it would be a lot cuter than Shadows though. ]

[They might sound it, but they definitely wouldn't look it.]

So once they get you there's no way to escape from them? [...] If you loaned me a sword now then I could help out with your battlefront against those shadow things.

[And if this brief conversation hasn't been enough for Yuri to start liking him yet then he'll find some other weapon to get the job done until then.]

A Leimorne is just like a human, only they can transform into beastmen. One of my friends once said the Leimorneans culture might be a little different from humans since Leimorne can handle stuff like physical labour well, but uh... You really don't know what one is?
