'Twas the night before Christmas...

WHO: All Secret Santa participants! And anyone else who wants to stop by
WHAT: Gift-giving and general Christmas festivities hurrah
WHEN: Evening of the 24th
WHERE: Boys' dorm lobby
WARNINGS: excessive holiday cheer
SUMMARY: The lobby of the boys' dorms has been decorated top-to-bottom with holiday decorations! Lights, a tree, you name it. Though at the beginning of the night, the tree actually has no ornaments! But there's a box full of them sitting beside it for any and all characters to help decorate it. Likewise, there's a growing pile of gift boxes beneath the tree with everyone's Secret Santa gifts. For any characters who did not participate in the event but do want to join in on the festivities, they may do so! And if they have any gifts, those may go under the tree along with everyone else's.

There's also a long table nearby with loads of various foods, ranging from cookies to cakes or even sandwiches and soups. Hot chocolate too, of course! Besides the usual couches and chairs in the lobby, there really aren't any additional chairs. But the floor is clean. Sitting on the floor isn't a big deal, you know...!

For reference, the Secret Santa list is here and there is a thread below for stating what gifts characters got one another. Feel free to join in with non-Secret Santa participants, but be sure to note in your comment that the gift is not of that variety. It is up to characters as to whether or not they want to reveal themselves as people's gift givers. If a character has decided not to give their assigned person a gift, make sure to either PM me at

peachdango), because Riki will be supplying those people with gifts himself!

[ Unfortunately, Ichigo didn't know Homura. So she'd had to ask Madoka what sort of sweets she liked, but Madoka didn't know either. It was from that day forward that Ichigo made herself a promise. THIS DAY WOULD BE THE DAY THAT SHE WOULD MEET AND BEFRIEND HOMURA.

There is no escaping destiny, Homura-chan. You can't turn back the time on this one.

Oh no, Ichigo is staking out her present to make sure that she figures out just who Homura is. Once Homura gets it, she can open up the cute little box and see a dessert quartet! A Monte blanc, a slice of passionfruit charlotte, a green tea spongecake slice (with matcha mousse), and a chocolate mousse inside of a balloon-style shell with strawberry slices on top. Not knowing what sorts of things Homura likes means hitting various bases-- and Ichigo's pretty sure she covered them all. Now it's just time to stalk her and see which one she reacts best to. ]

Uh-huh, I did! It's so cute, thank you so much, Otonashi-san..!

[ She's even bowing for him! .. As much as she can with that thing in her arms. But she's trying ~~so hard and getting so far but in the end--~~ ]

Although I was actually still trying to figure out what it is too.. it looks a little more like a dog, but hamsters are usually more puffy like this, right?

[Kotarou only knew so much about this guy, and that he didn't leave much of a impression on him sans his totally weird God-complex. So, he worked with that and what he had. The gift was wrapped to Naoi, a small one at that with a mixtape inside.

"I know how much you love being God, so I made you a collection of music in celebration of your...holiness, I guess. Sung by me of course. I've been told I'm pretty good with music. Also, there's a song about squid in there. I dunno why. Guess I really do like them. Anyway, there was a voice modifier on my phone, so it had to be put to work. Imagine it sounding like your favorite band.

In any case, I put a lot of love into it. So I hope you can use it for your opening ceremony as a God amongst us. Credit me!

[While it was indeed Secret Santa, he never did expect any gifts. So, when he eyeballed one in his name, it was kinda surprising and heartwarming to see. He smiles a bit, reading the card.

Yeah she wasn't all that great with pretending, was she.]

Not like I did anything, really... [Hohoho. The box was pretty pink, and only reminded him of one person. She does seem like the type to try and pretend to be Santa Claus. Horribly. When he opens it though, the gift reminded him of a smaller version of a familiar he encountered once. It was small plush of a dinosaur that could fit in his hand, along with a bag of sweets. There was only one thing to do in this sort of picture.]

Raaaaawr.

[He attacks the bag with the dinosaur.]

[ Homura's quite surprised at all the different types of desserts; to be honest, she didn't exactly care all that much about food or sweets in general, especially as of late. But she'll eat all of them, mostly so that she wouldn't be rude.

... Though unfortunately for Ichigo, she doesn't show much of a reaction to eating them until she's finished with all of them, a small smile on her lips.

It's been a while since she's received any present of any kind, after all. ]

[ When she sees her smile, Ichigo can't help but jump in glee and smile herself. She rushes over to greet her. ]

It's nice to meet you, Akemi-san!

[ It doesn't help that Madoka is (very, very unsubtly, mind you) watching him as he's opening the gift. She hopes he's happy with it at least, after all, she'd hate to mess up a Secret Santa and especially for someone she knows on top of it.. but then he grabs what's in it and starts.. playing with it instantly..? Does that mean he likes it or--

Wait, he's making it attack the candy? ]

E-eh?

Oh, whoops. Madoka at least does realise she just obviously makes a sound and quickly clasps a hand in front of her mouth. So subtle. So very subtle. ]

[Kotarou catches her sound, but doesn't bother to take a look. He merely chuckles; she would be watching wouldn't she.]

Come over here, Mrs. Claus.

Eheh... He actually isn't my boyfriend or anything, so... I just wanted to mess around with him. [Though he's apparently not here anymore, so...]

But ah... It's a onesie, I think it's called? They're really warm! And that one looked funny and made me laugh especially.

I think so. But it could always just be a really fat dog, couldn't it?

[Ew. It's not like Eren wanted to get a gift from Jean either, but at least he didn't have to spend time finding him one in the opposite situation. He takes the wrapped gift, eyeing it suspiciously and then Jean.]

Were you my uh... "Secret Santa" thing or something? [why else would you give him a present]

[Awww, how cute! Celica is beaming as soon as she opens the gift. Though she has absolutely no clue who gave it to her, so... With the doll in hand, she scans the room in hopes of finding whoever got her it. It may be a Secret Santa thing, but... she's awfully curious, okay!]

[The pictures are really more than enough to tell Otonashi who the gift is from, and between them and the fact that it had obviously been Mary, he can't help but smile and even laugh. They're so cute... And those pinkies are so long...! And he's really not entirely sure what that last picture is supposed to be, but hey, it's cute too.

Either way, once he receives it, he looks around for the girl and then makes his way over to her.]

[Riki probably has the most confused expression ever as he reads the Engrish note aloud.]

"Go wild Christmas." [...] I'm not entirely sure what that's supposed to mean...

[And why a pair of cat ears...! He's so confused. But it's the thought that counts, so hey he enjoys it anyway.]

Hehe, I thought so too.. I don't think I've ever seen a dog that fat before though. [ When she was.. alive.. but let's leave out that kind of depressing wording. ] Have you?

[ She looks around - maybe he could be refering to some other people! Someone else! But then Madoka notices there really is nobody close around, so she knows he's talking about her and slowly nods and steps over.. ]

E.. ehehe.. was I that obvious..?

I don't think you could've been more obvious. [Rawr, he uses his plush and attacks her face. Lightly.]

[Gosh, he probably shouldn't—if he approaches her, he might give himself away—but he did want to get to know the person he'd gotten a gift for. She seems so happy, too, and Makoto kind of can't resist. So, while Celica searches the room, Makoto goes to grab some cookies from the table and bring them over. He holds out the plate in offering, smiling a friendly smile as he asks:]

Is that your Secret Santa present?

[He might give himself away, but it couldn't hurt to try and be inconspicuous!]

[Bertholdt? That was the tall, sweaty guy, right?]

[Obviously, the answer was to make a new friend by making these two traits easier, right? So, Hinata got some iron-on letters and a massive t-shirt... decorating it in a totally helpful way.]

[But wait! Sitting on top of the shirt in the gift bag was a full set of sweatbands. Certainly Bertholdt would be as excited as the guy on the sweatbands box, right?]

[As proud of himself as he is, he doesn't come forward to claim himself the gift giver... He's going to see how the reaction is first, leaving the gift under the tree and sneaking away to stand unassumingly at the snack table.]

[Considering the fact that Hinata owns neither a hat nor gloves, this improves his half-assed winter-wear tenfold!]

[Pretty much immediately, he's pulling the mittens and hat on, testing to see if they fit. If looks are anything to go by, he seems pretty pleased with the gift, looking around to see if Eren is nearby.]

[Levi, pointblank, knew nothing about Christmas. He'd been given Ichigo's name and a brief description but it didn't make sense to him. He didn't get why he had to give someone a gift (on his own birthday no less,) nor did he know what to get Ichigo. Still, she'd been kind to him all year he'd been there and he assumed he should get her something she liked.]

[What did women like? Zoe liked books, new glasses, and practical things... and stranger things, but he probably couldn't find something like that in this place. Petra liked coffee, practical things... flowers? While trying to think of a gift, Levi had realized that the women in his world really didn't have a lot of choice in the matter of their tastes and hobbies. It didn't help any of his problems, either.]

[He does know that Ichigo has been training with him lately, and liked walking out in the woods (which scared him a little, if he were honest,) by herself. So when he comes up to Ichigo the morning of the gift exchange, boots still in their box and a ring of fake flowers he found in the store set on top of it.]

Here. Maybe you'll stop trippin' so much.

[When Bertholdt had been given Umi's name for "secret santa," whatever that meant, he'd had to first find out who Umi was (after realizing Umi was a name of a person,) and had since worried endlessly over what to get the girl he didn't know. Bertholdt had no idea about what girls liked or wanted, and he definitely didn't know what to get someone he'd never met. So he'd ended up going the practical approach of spending hours in the store in town looking for things a girl might like that would be useful to her.]

[So a present ends up there for the young woman, wrapped carefully in plain paper and tied with a ribbon. It's a journal, plain and simple, with a small card tucked under the ribbon that says "for Umi, from Bertholdt". He doesn't think much of his gift, so he turns to leave as soon as he's set it down on the presents table.]

[He isn't expecting a gift at all really, and Bertholdt really doesn't get the whole Christmas thing yet, so when he finds a gift marked with his name on it he kind of... looks a little sad, and then suspicious, and then sad again. Still, he picks up the present and looks around, like he might be yelled at for taking it, before pulling the paper from the top. He takes out the sweatbands and shirt and the cover of the sweatband set kind of scares him a little, but the shirt does make him smile a bit.]

W-wow... I wonder if... that would help...

[Levi opens up his gift without reading the card at first, but ends up finding it in the pile of wrapping later while he's folding it back into the empty bag, the soft scarf tucked around his neck and the box of cookies unopened.]

Huh.

[He opens the tin of cookies and his brows raise.]

Ichigo fucking knows me, though...?

[Because who else would make cookies and call him "Levi-san" right?]

[Choosing a gift had been a chore for a couple of reasons. The first was that he had absolutely no idea what the hell Christmas was. That much had been easy enough to figure out, though. Well, the gist of it anyway.

The other part was that he had no idea who this Mary was and what she liked. What did girls like, anyway? Because he sure didn't have a clue. Well... no, okay, he knew what women liked, sure. But pretty much everyone here was underage, so that didn't help.

But pink, cute stuff seemed safe enough. Girls liked that, right? Right.

So, wrapped a little messily, she's getting a pink cat plushie and box of chocolates. Without a note, because like hell was he going to leave any hints about his identity.

...and he's definitely not checking every now and then to see if she's opened it. Nope, not him.]
