SUMMARY: The Programmer and Fantoche have increased the number of shadows in order to pursue the NPC, Ai, who has been trying to hide but cannot continue to stand by and do nothing. Meanwhile, many of the afterlife's residents have been turned into NPCs.. is there a way to reason with them or get their memories back? There are 3 parts to this log!

MARCH 22: SHADOWS
Shadows are difficult to deal with, and you've just been surrounded. It seems like the number of shadows have raised up well beyond half of the NPC population. Team up, fight off the shadows, try to follow them to find the NPC first! Ai will be around throughout this log and will reveal her Guard Skill abilities in a comment here. Feel free to attempt to apprehend her.

MARCH 23: THE NORM
A few people have been turned into NPCs. The shadows seem not to bother them-- the shadows ignore them and those turned into NPCs don't even seem to see the shadows. They can see you, even if they can't remember. Try to talk some sense into them or take whatever measures you think are necessary? Try to keep them company or say goodbye because if Ai isn't turned in, there's no known way to turn them back?

MARCH 24: CAPTURED AI
Ai's identity has been revealed since the 22nd, but she's been avoiding capture up until now. Come up with a plan, decide what to do. It might be a good idea to have a meeting and talk to her. She's surprisingly cooperative. The OOC poll revealed that Ai will be kept away from Fantoche and the Programmer, so if any characters have the intent to do otherwise they will not be able to be the ones to find her. Of those who comment, on the 24th the mods will RNG one character to have successfully captured Ai and she will reply to that thread. Other characters or teams may jump in based on what you as the players have decided to do.

[ Or rather, she didn't bother remembering the names of the NPCs in the student council. She really should in the future, but only as a case reference for later. She'll shrug nevertheless. ]

Well, if you want to know if he really likes you, you could always ask.

[ Not that she thinks that they have feelings but might as well go for it. Though now she feels kind of bad, since she did tell her about someone who might like her.

... This is hard.

But it's not as if Haruhi will show any pained feelings towards anyone, especially not the NPCs. Holing her pain in was the best solution for now. ]

[ Hitomi puts her hand on her cheek, taking on a sympathetic tone. "Poor Takanashi, not even his own president recognizes him.." and Yuri rolls her eyes. ]

I don't care if he likes me, I don't want to date him so there's no point in asking.

[ "Why are you so against trying? It's not like you have a guy you like, right?"

Yuri blinked at that question, and for a second it seemed like there was a strange hesitation. It passed though, as soon as Hitomi waved her hand in front of her face with a "Oi, Yuri!" ]

What? Of course I don't like anyone! He's just not my type, that's all.

[ Well, it wasn't as if Takanashi played a prominent role in her afterlife to begin with. But whatever. When she sees her hesitate, there's an idea that flashes in Haruhi.

But at the same time, it causes Haruhi to cringe mentally, if only because that realization means that she can't be the one to help Yuri. ]

So what is your type, anyway?

[ Haruhi flashes a huge 100-watt grin on her lips as her aura shone bright, looking innocent as she quickly jumped back into the conversation. She'll have to text someone later, when this is over, but for now... She'll just keep cool. ]

My type?

[ Yuri gave her an exasperated look. Why was her love life of such concern to everyone all of a sudden? ]

I don't know. An athlete?

[ There's a lot more to who she really likes, but.. it isn't like she's really got her real emotions accessible right now. So nothing really comes out of it. ]

I've never thought about it before.

.. Well, I guess that's normal.

[ "for an NPC", but she doesn't mention that in her sentence at all. It would be too weird. ]

Though I'll definitely recommend you some cute athletic guys later once I go on my man hunt!

[ That's what she's calling it, but she already knows who she'll have to talk to later after all of this Ai chasing is over. ]

That's okay, I'm already tired of Hitomi trying to push guys at me!

[ She says it as though it's an ongoing dilemma, even though it's only been about a week since she's been stuck like this. It isn't like she has access to her real memories, though. ]

It's okay, I won't push a guy at you unless I'm being a dumbass.

[ Any normal day for Yuri, there probably would've been a quip right out at that. ]

That's good to know. You're a real pal, Haruhi.

[ The brigade chief waves her index finger around in a circle energetically, smiling brightly as she speaks in her usual cheerful voice. Even though there's some undertones of seriousness. Her happiness is simply a facade, but it's not like Yuri can see through that.

Not as she is right now, anyway. ]

Of course I am. The student body president has to be a friend to all!

[ She definitely can't. She'll take most things Haruhi says at face value. ]

I don't know how you can be a friend to everyone. It sounds a little tiring, but not bad.

Well, that's because it really is tiring. You can't get along with everyone in the beginning after all, and there'll always be conflict no matter what.

Do you have a lot of conflict usually?

It depends who I'm talking to.

I guess that's the same for everyone.
