SUMMARY: Winter fun all around

12th: Look Dave, IT'S SNOWINGGGGGGGGG!!! Students and other NPCs are beginning to hang Christmas lights all around the town and school too. Everything looks pretty at night, even the gardens in the town and school.

13th: Today in home economics class: its time to start baking some homemade cookies and making peppermint hot chocolate.

14th: Kendo club starts today in the dojo!! Some posters have been hung up around the school for a while. Anyone want to go in and try it out or maybe even join??

15th: Hey--look up! Yeah, it's exactly what you see. Mistletoe has been put up under almost every doorway! What now.

16th: A lot of the NPCs are heading up to the mountains today. Why? For skiing and snowboarding of course! Skis, snowboards and even sleds are in the gym's equipment room.  Who's up for some winter fun?



*As a little note, from the 12th until the end of the month it will be snowing! Nothing heavy but there will be a few inches of snow sticking to the ground.

Same things apply as last time! If you'd like to do something outside of the activities we've provided feel free to do so! Remember that there is a basketball team now so practices can be set up on whatever days you all choose.

It's just the basic sort of thing to catch someone by surprise. If someone triggers it, it'd give us more than enough warning that someone was trying to get in and we'd be able to see who it was, too.

We just had Tineye sentries. Usually they were enough warning.

[If they weren't, it was usually because they'd already been killed. But she won't say that.]

What are they?

[ Yuri's really trying to understand what kind of person she's talking to here, since a lot of what she says means absolutely nothing to her since they're from totally different cultures. ]

People who can only Burn tin. Tin increases physical senses and your mind so you aren't overwhelmed unless it's really loud or bright.

Not everyone is an Allomancer, no. Only a few are, and almost all have noble blood.

[A small pause.] I'm a Mistborn; I can burn all Allomantic metals. Mistings can only burn one and they have names based on the metal, what they do, or both. Tineyes, Pewterarms or Thugs, Coinshots, Lurchers, Seekers, Smokers, Soothers, and Rioters are all names for Mistings.

A lot of your words have to do with "mist." Is there a lot of mist where you're from?

[Ever since she released Ruin?]

Yes. Sometimes it kills. [It stopped being friendly back then too...The Mists were her friends; that's what Kelsier told her. It'd been true, until then. Now it felt hostile...]

It's stopped coming only at night. Some parts of what used to be the Final Empire don't get sunlight anymore because of it. Or...didn't get sunlight anymore when I died.

Guessing it's not your regular water vapor then. Any idea how it got that way?

...Yes. [It's called she released Ruin-- and the Mists might have something to do with him.]

[ She said yes, but everything else she'd answered more willingly, so Yuri's got a feeling that it's something she's a little more reluctant to talk about. ]

It sounds like an interesting place.

Different is interesting. [Meaning Yuri finds it interesting because it's not like her world. Vin finds this place much more interesting.]

Will we get there soon? [Yuri's base. That's where they're going after all.]

Yep, we're in front of it. [ Assuming they've been walking this whole time, they're definitely there by now. ]

[Third floor. That'd make it a bit harder for someone to go in via the window instead of the door, but not that hard.

She's just going to examine the door. Yuri had said a hammer hit you if you didn't say the password...She doesn't have pewter, and that would hurt.]

[ And the door opens. It's a good thing they got the auto fixed. ]

[Considering what Yuri's said their overall plan is, that password makes a lot of sense. She walks into the room, giving it a quick glance before walking over to one of the windows and looking outside.]

That password makes sense. Aren't you afraid people will figure it out? [Ones not in the SSS, even if not NPC's]

It hasn't been much of a problem. [ Especially since most people don't think to put God and Buddha both ]

Ah. [They're all just names for religious figures for her, so why not throw them all together?

This room is a lot brighter than the old Crew's...That's not really a bad thing though.]

Anyway, it's not huge but it's got what we need. There's a storage closet where we can store weapons once we get some, there's a projector screen and I gave Chihiro my laptop since she's a computer genius who's going to help us try to hack into the main system here. It's sectioned off and it's a safe place.

[ Though soon she'll learn the need to find security for the window. Mostly to try to keep Accelerator out, but she doesn't figure that's a factor yet. ]

It's bigger than some hideouts I've been in before.

[Which really isn't saying much, but still. The Crew doesn't sleep in here, and it's...nice.]

Doesn't it make more sense to keep your weapons on you at all times? [Why would you leave them in here? What if someone attacks you in your sleep?

Or is the storage for the extra weapons?]

Of course I would, but there are larger weapons that you can't carry around with you at all times, like sniper rifles or extra swords-- thinks like that. Specialty weapons, I should say. As soon as I get weapons besides this knife I stole from the kitchens- [ She pulls a knife out of her sleeve like where was she even keeping that up there. ] I'll keep multiple types on me. But it'd be great for extra ammo as well.
