WHERE: All around! Mostly at the school, since it is a school festival!
WARNINGS: Potential violence, but since everyone's already dead it's not like it matters, BUT FOR THE MOST PART HUNKY DORY PG! So PG+V? That works.

No matter where it is you woke up, if it's near buildings the sounds of merriment are all around. The shouts of people rooting for the winner of a game, students trying to pull in attention for their booths, adults laughing as they trip over themselves during a sport or someone screaming at the haunted house...

It's then that you realize you're at some kind of festival, everyone's invited, and no one seems to be bothering with money.

Then the realization that you're not even in your clothes. What the hell is this outfit? A school uniform? A janitor? A store clerk? Waitress?

No, no, the bigger question is deinitely "What the hell is going on and where am I?" With nothing but forest and mountains visible in the distance, it's kind of--

It could be a side-effect of dying. Or you could secretly be part goldfish, I barely know you so it's not like I know.

I said I've been here a while and I've seen enough to know what's going on. I know the basics, but it's not like I'm an expert in brain death. [ That's what he's got, obviously. ]

(How could I let my life spiral into this nonsense? ... Then again, it's not really my "life" anymore. That makes it worse, doesn't it? I'm stuck here, possibly for eternity, with her as a companion. Disappearing isn't sounding quite as bad as it was earlier...)

Have you played baseball before? If you're not good as a pitcher we can move you somewhere else, but you just have a pitcher vibe.

How long until the tournament starts? I guess we don't have to be there from the start if we're not signing up officially though.

... So, you didn't happen to have any sisters or anything when you were alive, right?

[ Yuri's mood seems to change when he asks that. It's not like she's shy about it but, but there's no way she could keep up her peppy attitude when they get brought up. She gets quiet, glancing to the side. ]

[ She considers not saying it. It's his first day, he probably doesn't need to know-- But.. she'd never hid it before. There wasn't any way to change what happened and she didn't care if anyone knew why she was fighting because it was why she kept fighting. ]

When I was younger, I was in charge of my brother and sisters whenever my parents went out. We had a really nice house, it was pretty out of the way. Almost like a summer home. It's not the kind of place you would think of as anything but safe. Then one day, my dad and mom were doing some things for work and left us alone. Three suspicious men came to the house, wearing ski masks. They started wrecking the house after capturing us, looking for anything valuable they could find.

When they didn't find much besides furniture they pulled me aside and told me to find them something really valuable. They said I was the oldest, I should know or my parents should've told me where the safe was or what to do in case of an emergency. I didn't know, so they told me to go find something or they'd kill each of my siblings. One every ten minutes. The only thing I found, a big vase... It was too big for me back then, so I tripped and fell down the staircase. It shattered. Police got there exactly 30 minutes after they told me that. When it was just them, me, and blood on the walls.

[ She can kind of guess why he asked though. ] I doubt it was one of them that you're mistaking me for.

... I see. I'm sorry for your loss.

(... It must have been tough, living under circumstances like that.)

Way to go for the most generic response you could to that. [ She's obviously.. trying to come back from that pretty quickly. ] I lived through it, but still ended up dead before I made it to college so there's absolutely no question as to why I'm here. Whatever you went through probably isn't pretty either.

Well, what kind of response do you expect after you tell someone a story like that!?

(Siblings... I think I may have had a younger sister myself... I can't put a name to her either though.)
