WHERE: All around! Mostly at the school, since it is a school festival!

POP POP!

The crisp crackle of confetti cannons going off signals the start of the school festival around 10am! The whole school has been preparing for the month beforehand and an excited vibe seems to be fluttering through the whole afterlife! There are games, cafes, performances-- all sorts of things! There's definitely got to be something that'll tickle your fancy. There are no classes today, the dining hall is closed, and it looks like there's just a huge, fantastic festival going on.

For being dead, it sure seems lively!

Who: Everyone is invited!
What: Haruhi decides to make a movie for the school festival and decides that anybody is allowed to be in it. Even if you're not going to make the cut as a role, there's still openings for other jobs! Along with just watching people make a huge fool of themselves.
When: Sept. 17 - 24th
Where: All over campus, honestly.
Warnings: Violence, cursing, and a bunch of other shenanigans. If anything else comes up, let me know and I'll edit.

Starting on the 17th, Haruhi will make an announcement via the PA, reminding everyone that if they want to be a part of the huge movie project she's doing for the school festival, they better show up in the auditorium after class. Last person who comes? Will be getting a penalty.

She'll even warn them.

And she might even attempt to drag some people along, too! It's not as if they have any choice in the matter. Besides, it's just a movie. What could possibly go wrong?

SLEEPOVER IN THE SSS HEADQUARTERS!

Girls only, September 14th. BYO Mattress and we'll lay them across the whole floor and it'll be like a bounce house but with mattresses! Food and drinks provided. Entertainment will include making fun of the boys, rating them on various factors, laughing at really embarrassing stories, horror stories, and basically anything else you can think of. Also kicking any perverts who come near the sleepover in places they won't appreciate. PJs only.

BOYS ONLY! SLEEPOVER IN THE GYM

The girls think they can have a sleepover and leave us out of the fun, but they're wrong! Join the Boys Only sleepover on the same night as the girls' for a great hang-out time! Food and drinks will be there. There'll be games too! And we're TOTALLY NOT GOING TO SPY ON THE GIRLS NO SIRREE.

WHEN: August 13-15
WHERE: Various Worlds of the Living
WARNINGS: Possibly some angst. If you have any other specific warnings, mention them to a mod or put them in the subject line of your comment!
OOC NOTES: Characters should have their trips staggered over time, so just because your character goes with Character A on the first day doesn't mean they can't go to their own on the second and with Character B on the third. Whichever character has the top comment of the thread is the world that they're going to. Feel free to use headcanon for this. The actual trip with Uranai Baba should be handwaved and your character will be dropped off.. it's kind of like going to daycare since she'll pick everyone up by midnight.

A strange old woman has come and whisked you away to a strange place-- or perhaps not so strange. You're either in your own world or in the world of a friend, back where life goes on without the dead. The living can't see you, but you're free to visit the actual Obon Festivals, look for your loved ones, or maybe do something even more adventurous. Perhaps you're here to solve your own murder!? Or just eat food that you would've missed otherwise. It's up to you, but just remember.. just because you call out to the person you love most doesn't mean they'll hear you.

SUMMARY: INTERACTION LOG you know the drill. School trip is also in here!

24th: Ah summer. What a wonderful season, yes? And you know what tastes great during the summer time? Watermelon! And hey would you look at that--there's a nice big watermelon on your bed. Oh and there's one in the hall too... and on the stairs... watermelon infestation!

25th: Take a step outside today--boy is it hot. Take a few more steps--something doesn't seem right. A few more and--OP you can't lift your foot up. Why? Well it... looks like it's begun melting to the ground. HEAT WAAAVE. Run back inside, hide in the cool shadows of your room, possibly sit yourself in front of an open fridge! It's gonna be a hot day today.

26th: It's the first day of the school trip! So get your gear ready and your hiking boots on because IT'S TIME TO GO CAMPING! Enjoy the fresh air, take a look at the wildlife--maybe even feed a deer--put those survival skills to the test, build a camp, make a bonfire, sing songs! Have fun out there

27th: Second day of the school trip. Do your feet hurt yet? Well too bad there's still a bit more exploring to do. But don't worry, you'll make it back to the school by tonight. Oh but it doesn't simply end there! Because tonight there will be a Test of Courage! Which was graciously set up by the student council.

Students will be randomly paired up and must go through the pitch black hallways of the school to find a box where they must grab one coin each and make their way back out. It's not going to be THAT easy though, c'mon now, this is called a test of courage for a reason! NPC students and teachers (possibly even members of the council) will be lurking in the shadows and hiding around corners to scare the afterliving life out of you. Good luck in there!

28th: After possibly getting the crap scared out of you the night before, why not relax a bit tonight? In town tonight the NPCs are handing out sparklers and enjoying a cool summers night. Relax my friends, no scary NPCs are after you.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The school trip is this week as you can see above! Sign ups for the test of courage are closed and here are the randomized pairs. If you have any questions please feel free to ask on that post as well! The box of coins will be located on the second floor in an empty classroom.

WHAT: Tanabata party mingle log.
WHEN: Forward dated to July 7th.
WHERE: Outside.
WARNINGS: None at the moment, but who knows with these idiots? I'll edit as necessary.
SUMMARY: It's Tanabata, otherwise known as the Star Festival! Haruhi's decided that she needs to celebrate the holiday with everyone with a bang! Shenanigans ensue.

Everything is perfect and set up for the night; there's tables with food (plus tables to sit down on, an area to look at the stars, enough room to dance with awesome music, some games, and the usual booth with two bamboos and a table sitting next to it with tanzaku.

Plus, the area is decorated with star-related items, so you better get ready.

WHO: Haruhi Suzumiya, Kyon, Koizumi Itsuki and you!
WHAT: The former brigade chief of the SOS Brigade has plotted with her former vice commander in order to attempt to relive the day that Haruhi met Kyon so that he can remember things. It won't end well.
WHEN: June 11th; after school.
WARNINGS: Usage of language for now, but if anything else happens, I'll edit.
SUMMARY: Haruhi has managed to find several NPCs to help her out with her charade of pretending that everyone is North High students as they reenact Kyon and Haruhi's supposed first meeting. She has decided to keep Koizumi out for lookout just in case anybody attempts to barge their way in. Especially any members of the SSS. Though things might not go her way...

[ So far, so good. Haruhi had managed to perfect everything; to the people in the classrooms, the outfits they wore, and the false date on the classroom, which clearly read that it was a Monday in April. She had even procured some hair extensions to make her hair just as long as it was on that day.

All the actors were in place: including the Asakura, Taniguchi, and Kunikida stand-ins. They looked similar enough and she had already told them their roles; after all, she managed to convince that this was all for the school play that would be done for the next culture festival or whatever, after all.

Plus, the seating was just the way it's supposed to be. Haruhi in the last seat all the way to the left, Kyon sitting in front of her. Of course, putting Kyon to sleep with chloroform (which she made herself using the materials from the science classrooms) and changing him wasn't easy, but it was a task that had to be done. Or rather, a task that was already done.

... Maybe she's lucky that she wasn't the one who changed him. Maybe not. Who knows.

For the meantime, though, Haruhi will just sit in her chair, her lips curled into a snide smile for a second or two before frowning, tapping her feet anxiously as she awaited the signal; when Kyon woke up, the teacher would immediately call "Next!" so she can reintroduce herself.

Hopefully nobody would barge in during this, though. ]

WHO: Anyone / TOTALLY WAY OPEN
WHAT: Beach party + fishing trip combo, hosted by SSS.
WHEN: Saturday!
WHERE: Riverside.
WARNINGS: If you don't show up in a bathing suit, Yuri will punish you. Other than that, fanservice on account of bathing suits!? Possible violence because isn't there always. Let me know if anyone goes beyond that.
SUMMARY: Yuri declared a beach trip / fishing trip combo. All are invited. Set up includes three main areas;

FISHING AREA:
Yuri went and got a bunch of fishing rods from where the SSS previously stored them and set them out for everyone. There are cans of worms for bait too. The fishing area has more rocks than the beach area. It looks kind of like this. If the Master of the Stream happens to show up, this gives you an idea of how big he is.

SWIMMING AREA:
There's a big yellow tape that divides the swimming area and the fishing area so no one crosses it! Not that there's anyone to stop you if you do, but it's the thought that counts. The area pretty much looks like this and is a little downstream from the fishing area. There are about 4 beach chairs set out, two underneath a large umbrella. The other two are out in the sun, and there's a basket with a bunch of folded towels.

FOOD AREA:
Despite that Yurippe said that everyone non-SSS had to bring their food, she ended up cashing in a bunch of the food tickets to get a bunch of food to set out on a fold-up table she may or may not have stolen from the PE department. (You know, the kind the marathon counters usually sit at or the water cooler is usually on.) So there's a bunch of food set out for anyone. Mostly fruit and snacks from the convenience store. There's an ice chest of bottle watered and iced coffee too.

WHAT: Love Letter Event Dates
WHEN: May 24th
WHERE: Randomized locations. (See here.)
WARNINGS: I'm going to start with PG-13 max, if any threads go beyond that, let one of the mods know so we can up it!
SUMMARY: Love letters have been handed out by NPCs organizing strange dates between the dead students. You've shown up to yours, so who did you end up with? What are you going to do? What's going to happen if you don't do anything?

SUMMARY: INTERACTION LOG you know the drill. Event stuff in here too.

22nd: It's time for art class! Pretty simple assignment, grab a partner and draw them, even paint them if you like! Just don't get the paint on them.

23rd: What do you think sounds good for lunch? A PB&J? Spaghetti? Or maybe some curry sounds nice!! Once you hand over your meal ticket though, what you get isn't exactly what you ordered. It's a hamburger. Whether it be a veggie burger, cheese burger, a burger with 3 patties on it, it's a burger. That's all that you're going to get, it seems that's all they're gonna serve today, even in town!

24th: Knock knock! Who’s there? A NPC with a special little letter for you. Looks like someone has a date tonight~!

25th: Hey basketball team, up for some b-ball today?? WELL as it turns out, looks like some of the NPCs took all the balls! And they're playing all about the school with them. Some of you may spot them and even be handed a ball before they run off--let's hope Akashi and his scissors don't catch you with it.

26th: They drama club has put up a few signs for auditions today!! For what play? Well you can't be in high school and not do a High School Musical play at some point, right? So get your head in the game.

WHEN: Sunday, May 5th
WHERE: Guild, water way entrance.
WARNINGS: Everyone getting really wet, possible (probable?) violence.
SUMMARY: Yuri declares the remaining members of the SSS are diving into Guild in order to retrieve possible remaining weapons to defend themselves against the shadows.Though she'd intended to make sure everyone was ready to brave GUild beforehand, circumstances meant they had to do it now. So the SSS will use the lesser known upstream path to get into Guild without running into quite as many booby traps. There will still be a couple, but it'll be somewhat safer barring shadows.

24th: HEY BATTER BATTER BATTER SWING BATTER KENNEDY KENNEDY. That's right it's time for the baseball club to start up try outs! Some posters have been put up around the school about it. Go be a Little Buster.

25th: FIRE FIRE. Except not. But the sprinkler system seems to think there is one! So in all of the buildings around campus and even in the town, the sprinklers up on the ceilings are going off. Have fun getting wet.

26th: As you go about your day today, wherever you may be, school, club meeting, dorm rooms, everything appears to be as normal as it can be. Suddenly, a group of NPCs close by scream and panic as one of them turns into a black shadowy mass... and it looks at you. Welp.

27th: There aren't many, but every now and then you may spot a shadow or two walking about campus, consuming students or disappearing into the shadows. Maybe you saw them yesterday maybe you didn't. But either way, watch your back... they like to creep out of your own shadows if you aren't careful.

28th: Try to go out that door--locked. Another? Locked. All buildings on campus and in town will randomly lock their doors so you just might end up trapped in a room! With a few shadows coming out of the shadows to join you of course.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The Shadow Days event is starting up on the 26th and will go until May 10th! All details about it are over on this post so please read it if you haven't already. If you have any questions go ahead and ask over there too.

WHAT: Just what it says on the tin -- sports festival!
WHEN: April 8th - 10th
WHERE: All around campus! Particularly in the gym, sports/soccer/archery fields, tennis courts, and pool. The school's map is over here for reference.
WARNINGS: Unless the games are getting competitive, there probably won't be much violence...! I mean, it's not like we're playing rugby...
SUMMARY: Sports festival! Details here!

Remember those sports festival sign ups last month? Well, the days for said festival have finally arrived! All around campus (obviously in the sports-related areas), various competitions for various sports are going to be held. Track dashes, marathons, baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, archery, swimming, kendo... you name it! Each event will be held at different times, with breaks in between to allow for any spectators -- whether they're game characters or NPCs -- to go watch 'em all. It also allows for characters wanting to participate in more than one event to do so.

There are also numerous decorated food stands around the event areas with light snacks and beverages for players and watchers. If people want to make signs to support their favorite teams, they can even do that at certain tables with sturdy sheets of paper, paints, and markers!

Finally, at the end of each day, there will be a fireworks display, with the largest one being on the final day (the 10th). On that last day, winners and MVPs for the competitions will also be announced! And each of those winners will be receiving a prize! Players on each winning team will all receive extra meal tickets. As for the MVPs, they will get a gaming system! A Gameboy in particular. Pretty neat, huh?

On the note of winners, we will be having polls for MVPs (most valuable players)! That will come toward the end of the festival, though. For now, anyone having their characters participate in sports events as players should drop a comment/fill out the form over here! That's also where any questions regarding this event can go.

Also, as a side note, the events under each day are listed in chronological order (morning, afternoon, late afternoon).

WHEN: Thursday, February 14th; yes, I know it's forward-dated, but FIGHT ME!1!
WHERE: Starting off in Kyon's room, but might possibly be heading to other places.
WARNINGS: Surprise spoilers, plus some slightly not safe for work language, considering the nature of some rumors.
SUMMARY: Haruhi was planning on giving Kyon some chocolate and then she hears the NPCs say certain somethings about Kyon so she picks the lock of his room and ruins everything.

12th: DUCK INVASION. Okay not really, but there are an abnormal amount of ducks wandering about today, just quacking about at the edge of the forest. Some of them may even make their way on to campus and into the town.

13th: Basketball tryouts today!! Some signs have been put up around the school for it. Anyone up for some B-ball?

14th: There's a leak in the apartments pipes in town!! I sure do hope you have afterlife insurance.

15th: FREE DAY. Have something you want to do? Might want to spend it studying.

16th: EXAM TODAY!! Your teachers told you on Monday. Weren't you paying attention?! GOSH. (You can set up your tag so it's before the test and they're studying, during the test or even afterwards when all is said and done!)

So if you didn't catch the announcement that was made a few days ago, from now on, once a month every month, we'll be putting up a log just like this with a few random events to support more interaction between characters! If you'd like to do something outside what we've provided like just reading at the library or eating lunch feel free to!
