Day 1: School Festival

WHERE: All around! Mostly at the school, since it is a school festival!
WARNINGS: Should be PG-13 for language and possibly violence because there's always someone. But should mostly be fun & fluffy. Let me know if anything changes.

POP POP!

The crisp crackle of confetti cannons going off signals the start of the school festival around 10am! The whole school has been preparing for the month beforehand and an excited vibe seems to be fluttering through the whole afterlife! There are games, cafes, performances-- all sorts of things! There's definitely got to be something that'll tickle your fancy. There are no classes today, the dining hall is closed, and it looks like there's just a huge, fantastic festival going on.

For being dead, it sure seems lively!

He can't even laugh yet. He just... stares. ]

[He can't handle this. A maid cafe, sure, school festivals always have those. But a maid cafe where the maids are flipping around through the air like deranged acrobats- Are some of those maids guys? Oh. They are.

Nope, he's completely lost it. Flying maids serving food. Guys in drag. He's slamming his fist on the table he's sat at, unable to control his laughter.]

Oh man, make it stop! Gyahaha, my sides, what the heck!?

[Sure, the maid girls were really nice, but it wasn't like he could take it completely seriously as he'd like. They're seriously dangling everywhere.

"Here you are, Master!!" as they twist and turn in the air towards another table.

...Kotarou was merely speechless.] Couldn't they have made it just a maid cafe...? [That would've been much better than...whatever the hell this is. Still cute though, and especially...energetic.

Sitting at his table, he merely gazes at all the flight...]

[ You can thank one Hange Zoe for this idea, and somehow managing to convince all of those part of this to wear maid outfits. BUT Hange herself isn't wearing a maid outfit because, really, who would wear a dress while operating the 3DMG? So, no, she's wearing a nice suit. And she's rocking it-- except for the eternally messy hair. Since's mostly working the reception and showing students to their seats, or explaining away how the 3DMG works. Also, Titans. She will be talking about Titans. SO: ]

[ A: Have a very cheery hostess organizing menus and greeting your character. ] Hello and welcome to the maid cafe~! How many in your party?

[ B: She explains the 3DMG. ] And then you take this strap and secure it here-- and... done! Now, would anyone like to try?

[ C: Obligatory talking about Titans option. ] One time I was able to step inside a Titan's mouth...! If only I could have taken one of its molars home with me. Unfortunately, its bones, too, disintegrate too quickly to have any keepsakes.

[ D: Wild card! Idk try to trip her while she's walking or steal her glasses or talk to her while she's taking a break. Straighten her tie for her, because she can't be assed to keep a nice appearance. ]

[ Petra's on a small break, removing the 3DMG belts and dusting her maid costume, tugging awkwardly at the hem of the poofy skirt. This dress is... terrible and also impractical, and balancing various foods on plates while flying is the most challenging thing she's ever gone through, holy shit. Good practice though, she supposes. However, this dress is definitely something she'd.. rather not wear normally, whose idea was this anyway? Seriously..

Have any questions, or just want to talk to her? Want to make fun of her costume or compliment it? Petra's most likely one of the few people who's less grumpy about the dresses (though she does have words to say about how ridiculous and embarrassing this is) and also is willing to have a friendly chat! ]

[Levi will be flying around on his 3DMG. Whoever talked him into this deserves a medal (Hange.) At present, he's the world's quickest and most efficient bus boy, cleaning up the tables and spills from the customers, though the spills from the food being haphazardly carried in the 3DMG are almost worse. He will be here to wait on you, however, considering how busy they are. The spectacle is very popular!]

[This is bullshit, everyone said they only had maid outfits, so of course when Jean puts THIS on here it turns out they had suits with ties, pants, and everything! By the time Jean would have ripped out of his maid outfit they would have all been taken, there wasn't many of either kind of outfit, getting the short end of the stick like always!]

A;open! [Order up! Your 'waiter' is here to take your order, at this establishment the customer is obligated to shut the hell up and enjoy what they get.] Whaddaya want, asshole? [Stop looking at him like that!! Don't make fun of him! You could order something, I'm sure he'd love you to ask him about his outfit. There is also the gear, Jean is very skilled.]

B;shingeki-only [Okay, one of you is responsible for this. Why is Jean in a maid outfit. Someone better offer up their suit, RIGHT NOW!] I know one of you thought you were cute in putting me in this, who was it?!

[Erwin has been fitted in THIS lovely tuxsedo, how James Bond can you be? A little too robust to be a spy, however.. He's been placed in charge of host, finding you a table and getting you drinks, not looking all that enthused to be sitting. Rather bored, reading his book sipping at some coffee.

B;open [Come, please, do the thing that isn't about maids and food. This is something Erwin had actually been excited for all night. Giving young men and women the opportunity to try on the 3DMG and explaining it, what a joy. However, unbenounced to Erwin, these 'normal' teenagers also didn't have the three years of special training he was used to his throw-aways coming in with. Let's see how this goes..]

* Well, she certainly likes being able to help and serve people what she can but it's a little awkward when wearing dress that they never had back in their world. At least not of this frilly caliber.

Haunted House

The Drama Club presents: SPOOK SHACK. A haunted house of epic proportions-- well, that's what the advertisement says. A lot of the decorations aren't extremely frightening, but everyone seems really enthusiastic about jumping out at you in the dark! And the costumes are surprisingly disturbing..

[Well of course she's here. It's difficult to tell if anything in there is actually scaring her, because she keeps reacting with such joy.]

[He was just passing by when someone decided to jump out from behind a wooden cut out of a spooky looking tree while dressed as a ghost. Why would anyone do that?! He wasn't even going into the haunted house!

Now he's just staring at the haunted house from a distance, heart pounding, as though the house said something insulting about his parents... His knees might be shaking a little as well.

Live Movie Screening

It doesn't look like this is an official event or anything, but the film room has definitely been appropriated to show a film by Haruhi Suzumiya, starring various students and staff. Maybe you should check it out?

Live Concert

If you approach the dining hall, you'll notice that it's open even if there's no food being served. That's because there's a LIVE CONCERT by the SSS Distraction Team! They haven't really come up with a name yet, so there wasn't much advertising, it seems like the acoustics in the dining hall are surprising excellent! The SSS already had everything set up for concerts in there, after all.

[ Even though there might not have been much advertising, that's not going to stop Haruhi from performing. Though she's definitely pissed off at how little work was put into it. Well, at least she knows that four other people (or perhaps five) are coming, having being coerced into being the backup dancers for the Hare Hare Yukai.

Once the performance starts, though, the songs will go in a very simple order: Sono Hi Sora wa Kitto Aoi, When I Was In Love, Parallel Days, and last but not least, the Hare Hare Yukai. ]

[Prior to when he had to go backstage to prepare, Hinata would be out in the crowd enjoying the show. So often during these shows he'd been outside maintaining the perimeter, so it was nice to be able to relax and actually come and watch.]

[Wallflower? Absolutely expect him to try and rope you into the excitement. Life of the party? He's definitely going to want to help!]

[When it was time for the last song of the show, Hinata would jump into the Hare Hare Yukai with spirit, grinning like an idiot as he performed as one of Haruhi's backup dancers. Although... maybe he was a little too energetic, overextending some of his leaps and gestures in comparison to the rest of the group. At least he seemed to be enjoying himself...]

[Afterwards, Hinata would be backstage still soaring on the adrenaline high, seeming in very good spirits. He'd be a little sweaty, but no less likely to run over and hug people he liked, so be wary...]

[He could be found both backstage and outside the stage area, so feel free to berate him for making an idiot of himself in front of the entire school.]

SSS Dunk Tank

Pick a member of the SSS of your choosing and make them sit in a dunk tank. Players can throw balls at the target to release the seat the SSS member is sitting on and plunge them into the ice water!

Yes, it's freezing cold ice water, you can probably see the ice cubes. It seems like most of the people getting dunked didn't know about that beforehand though.

[ Haruhi doesn't really care who ends up on the dunk tank. She just wants to get things out out of her head. And besides, she needs to cool down a bit after working so hard on the concert and the movie. ]

Sweets Paradise

Getting a little peckish? Swing on by Sweets Paradise! It's not an official cafe or anything so much as a booth where you can order fresh-made baked goods, ranging from cookies, cakes, mini-tarts, and crepes to savory goods like spinach and ricotta croissants, fresh quiche, puff pastries, and cheddar scones! It looks like most of the bakers are hard at work in the classroom right behind the booth to keep up with demand, but there are a couple of waitresses and waiters out front to take your to-go orders!

[Being the loner that he never wants to be, you couldn't go wrong with getting some food if you arrived to the festival on your own. All the festivities really did give a sense of nostalgia, he could cry. Of course, he was lonely. But he tried to make the most of it all in respect for the Occult Club. If he were still alive, he'd have like to take them all to the Harvest Festival as a official club mission.

Ordering a corn dog and two sticks of takoyaki, he waits. They sure are busy today...it's nearly sad.]

There are various booths with games throughout the festival. Scooping up goldfish, shooting corks at stuffed animals to win them, tossing hoops-- you know, the usual carnival stuff. Have fun and be creative! If you want your character to play a game that isn't one of the ones listed, feel free to as long as it fits the mood.

[ Mana is staring at a gloomy looking, black bat-like bear at the cork shooting. She's already tried hitting it and ended up a small weird looking thing (octopus) in several colors that she couldn't even identify.

There are tears in her eyes because that bear reminds her of someone. ]

After Dark Bonfire & Fireworks

After dark, a huge bonfire is going to be lit in the middle of one of the sports fields. There'll be music, dancing, and marshmallows as the night winds down. At around 10:00pm, a fireworks show will begin! Enjoy the colorful explosions in the sky with a friend (or someone more~?)

[ Yamashita's been pretty down about the general 'being dead' business, but there could have been no better distraction than a school festival. Not that it was hard to distract Yamashita in any case.

Right now, he's just so exciting. Stuffing himself with marshmallows and then when he's done with that, exclaiming his feelings out loud, accompanied by more gestures than you ever really wanted to see. ]

Fantastic! Abso-absolutely wonderful! These are the best days of student life, certainly! All kinds of people -hot chicks and cool boys and everyone else- unite to have fun and eat delicious food... It really is the best!
