Day 1: School Festival

WHO: Everyone!
WHAT: School Festival Day 1
WHEN: 9/28/3013. Morning through evening.
WHERE: All around! Mostly at the school, since it is a school festival!
WARNINGS: Should be PG-13 for language and possibly violence because there's always someone. But should mostly be fun & fluffy. Let me know if anything changes.

POP POP!

The crisp crackle of confetti cannons going off signals the start of the school festival around 10am! The whole school has been preparing for the month beforehand and an excited vibe seems to be fluttering through the whole afterlife! There are games, cafes, performances-- all sorts of things! There's definitely got to be something that'll tickle your fancy. There are no classes today, the dining hall is closed, and it looks like there's just a huge, fantastic festival going on.

For being dead, it sure seems lively!

But that kind of scary stuff isn't real... [It's just NPCs in sheets.]

Y-Yeah, I get that now. Of course none of it is real... But when you're just walking by and something jumps out at you there's no time to think about it like that. [That sheet was terrifying okay. It looked like a real ghost for the few seconds he saw it before screwing his eyes shut and yelping.]

[hypervision]

Hm...oh! We should go inside together! [Look at this innocent smile with no ulterior motive whatsoever.] Then I could show you that it really isn't scary at all!

[accepted]

[He doesn't know how to feel about a kid offering to show him around a haunted house, just for the sake of showing how it isn't scary. Rubia would probably be poking fun at him now if she were here. Hmph.]

... Fine, we can go together. Now that I'm prepared for it and know what to expect it won't be nearly as bad.

[hypervision]

Right! So let's go, Onii-chan!

[He leads the way to the entrance, waiting for Caius to step inside with him. Don't worry, we'll stay right by you, so you don't have to worry about a thing!]

[accepted]

[He follows Reisuke to the entrance, pausing for a moment at the door just to collect his nerves. Hoo boy, he can do this, he can so do this...

With a deep breath he walks inside along with Reisuke and looks around. There's nothing too spooky just yet, which is good! Only because if something really terrifying happened now he would turn around and head right back out the way he came in. Thanks for sticking with him Reisuke, you're such a pal.]

[hypervision]

[Yep! There's not really much here so far...unless you get easily scared by fake cobwebs suddenly falling from the ceiling above them, or a strange voice echoing overhead that sounds like it's introducing the Haunted House...of Terror... (or something like that, it's kind of hard to tell if they had a good microphone to use for their little haunted house)

But hey don't worry, Reisuke will make sure you stay if it looks like Caius is about to run, even if we have to trip him or something. For now though, he just laughs.]

See? Stuff like this isn't very scary at all, right?

Well yeah, this stuff is nothing.

[Get out of his hair, stupid cobwebs. If he ran away from fake cobwebs and a badly recorded voice then he'd feel pretty bad about chickening out so soon. So for now he'll stick around and show some guts by leading the way forward!

... But he's going to look behind him and make sure Reisuke is still following along before he gets too far.]

[hypervision]

[No worries, he's still here! Not much happening, other than creepy carousel music playing at the moment. Though if you keep looking back at him, you might not be prepared for an NPC dressed as a fake zombie jumping out at you!]

[accepted]

[The music isn't helping, really. Stupid creepy atmosphere, stupid music. He checks back to make sure Reisuke is still there, and yup, there he is.

Another look back, everything is still fine. Peachy.

And again- ZOMBIE. Rather than get freaked out or run off, Caius quickly moves to shove the NPC away. Zombies he can handle, he's fought those things before! ... He probably shouldn't be pushing the NPCs around like this, but, well... It surprised him!]

[hypervision]

[He doesn't really care about NPCs being manhandled, but once Caius turns to check on him after shoving the zombie away...Reisuke appears to have vanished. Did he hide somewhere when that zombie NPC kid suddenly jumped out at them?]

[accepted]

[There, zombie defeated. Where's his gald and exp? ... Wait, where did Reisuke go?

With the NPC gone now too, Caius realises he's all alone in the haunted house with only the creepy carousel music playing in the background to break the silence.

He doesn't like this. At all.]

Hey, Reisuke! Where did you go? [...] This isn't funny!

[hypervision]

[What are you talking about, of course it's funny.

Reisuke doesn't answer, but suddenly there are cold hands wrapped around your ankles (by an NPC that's hanging out on the floor) to try to keep you from running anywhere. A voice can be heard faintly whispering THERE'S NO ESCAPE~, but what will you do now??]

[This isn't funny in the slightest, sorry!!

When the cold hands grab onto Caius' ankles he instantly freezes up, but only for a moment. He soon tries to get away, lifting one of his feet up off the floor shortly before tripping forwards and landing with a loud slam and a yell as he hits the ground. Ow.

Now he's hurt and scared and oh god where did that voice come from nope nope screw this he's scrambling to get away!]

[Somewhere, someone is laughing, though depending on how observant Caius is at the moment, he may or may not notice that it sounds more higher-pitched and childish than the voices of the NPCs from before.

Three guesses who it is and the first two don't count.]

[Is it the worst roommate in the world? Pretty sure its the worst roommate in the world.

Sadly its pretty hard to be observant when you're scared out of your mind. The laughter he hears just makes him want to get out of this place as fast as he can!

He manages to get back up onto his feet and rip his ankles free from the NPC that grabbed him, soon running off to the exit... Or so he would like to think. In his haste he instead ends up running further into the haunted house with his eyes wide, cold sweat running down his forehead and his heart feeling as though it's about to pop in his chest.]

[What can we say, we're competing to win that worst roommate award here in the afterlife.

But good job running further into the house instead of out of it, because suddenly--is that a bed-sheet ghost? Because one is suddenly jumping out at you when you cross its path.]

[Well good job because it looks like Reisuke is going to win first place. What an accomplishment.

It better not be a bed sheet ghost- OH NO ITS A BED SHEET GHOST. A bed sheet ghost that looks a whole lot more like an actual ghost when you're already scared witless.

There's only so much Caius can take before he decides to do something about the situation though. He turns to run right at the ghost, barreling into it and knocking it to the ground!]

I-I'm getting out of here right now, move it!

[hypervision]

[Well I guess it's a good thing that bed-sheet ghost wasn't Reisuke since you just knocked a poor NPC kid to the ground. Good job, buddy. Reisuke is actually following along a little ways behind, giggling. He knew the NPCs pretending to be bed-sheet ghosts were up ahead, he was curious to see what the other's reaction would be and gosh, he didn't disappoint.

At least he finally decides to make himself known from where he's been standing behind Caius--tone completely normal and acting maybe a little admonishing.]

Oh no, you shouldn't push people to the floor like that, Onii-chan!

[accepted]

[If it was Reisuke then lets be real, he'd totally deserve it. Caius would have to apologise later. But its not him, so its fine!

Getting to his feet he briefly looks down to check on the poor guy he knocked over, only to jump and quickly spin around to find Reisuke behind him.]

Shut up, they made the first move! [They did their job and tried to scare him, so he knocked them over. That makes it okay!] H-Hey, where did you run off to anyway?!

[hypervision]

Huh? I didn't run off to anywhere. [Yes he did] I was following along right behind you, but then you ran away really fast!

[How do you expect a small child to catch up to you that quickly?]

[accepted]

No you weren't! I wouldn't have ran off if you were still around!

[He might be scared but he wouldn't leave someone like that. Probably... But the point is that Reisuke wasn't there! He called out to him and everything, you can't fool him!]

You should have said something when I tried shouting for you.

[hypervision]

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't hear you shouting for me.

[yes he did, it was just funnier not to respond]

Really, you couldn't? There might be something wrong with your ears if that's true...

[Because come on, how could he not hear him calling? And his various noises of terror which would have surely told Reisuke where he was? Really now.]

Whatever, you're here now. Let's just get out of here already, I've had enough of this place to last me another lifetime.

[hypervision]

Aww, okay... [Fine, fine...though after a moment as they start walking again, Reisuke starts giggling.]

...But you should have seen your face though, Onii-chan, it was really funny!
