WHERE: All around! Mostly at the school, since it is a school festival!
WARNINGS: Potential violence, but since everyone's already dead it's not like it matters, BUT FOR THE MOST PART HUNKY DORY PG! So PG+V? That works.

No matter where it is you woke up, if it's near buildings the sounds of merriment are all around. The shouts of people rooting for the winner of a game, students trying to pull in attention for their booths, adults laughing as they trip over themselves during a sport or someone screaming at the haunted house...

It's then that you realize you're at some kind of festival, everyone's invited, and no one seems to be bothering with money.

Then the realization that you're not even in your clothes. What the hell is this outfit? A school uniform? A janitor? A store clerk? Waitress?

No, no, the bigger question is deinitely "What the hell is going on and where am I?" With nothing but forest and mountains visible in the distance, it's kind of--

[Ugh.] So I've been hearing.

If I say it in words there's no guarantee you'll believe me. But, as an example..

[ Yuri takes her hand up to her mouth and bites the side of her index finger hard enough to make it bleed. There's no way it wouldn't hurt, but it doesn't seem to bother her too much besides some tiny hints of wincing. High pain tolerance. ]

Give it a few minutes and something this small will heal right up. You could get chopped into a million pieces and it'd work just the same, though it'd take a little more time.

[Having spent most of his time around vampires (particularly of the noble class and higher) and hunters, both of who have varying levels of accelerated healing and regenerating, to some degree, the display doesn't surprise him too much.

However, he still is a bit wary. ]

Regeneration, then. . . [a frown knits his brows]

So, you're telling me that everyone here is capable of that sort of thing? [a beat or so; he''s growing curious] . . .would it be correct to assume everyone is human?

Everyone who's human is dead. Everyone else is just.. fake. They're shaped like people, they talk and act like people, but they're not real people. They're like well-programmed robots, minus the wires.

[instrumented]

[that frown only increases.

And what about those who woke up here who weren't human at their homes? They simply become one, now that they're here?

[tenminutes]

[ Wait. ]

So you are an alien!?

[instrumented]

Apart from humans where I'm from, there's also vampires and vampire hunters.

[tenminutes]

So you're a vampire? [ Vampire hunters are probably human she assumes, so he'd have to be a vampire. ] Why aren't you bursting into flames or sparkling?

They can tolerate the sun, too. They don't burst into flames.

[He goes quiet for a few moments after that. Zero isn't one to lie, so, Yuri's getting the truth.]

I was born a hunter, however also was turned into a vampire later on. But. . . [another pause; a bit of a frown crosses his expression, still confused with the situation.] When I woke, here, I was no longer a vampire.

That's good though, isn't it? Ramen tastes a lot better than blood.

Vampires can still eat normal food, too. [where he's from, at least] . . . it's good, though, yes.

It's just confusing why I suddenly am human again [more or less], here.

[tenminutes]

The same reason someone whose legs were cut off when they were alive would have them here, probably. You got better, back to the state you're supposed to be in.

[instrumented]

I see. [There's nothing to really "get better," though, is there? Vampires are still living, breathing beings.]

[tenminutes]

[ She assumes it's the whole fiction thing with vampires getting turned from humans into monsters, drinking blood, raising hell, and poofing into bats okay. ]

Yuri! Yurippe is fine too, but it's up to you which one you want to use.

[ But there's no escaping the first name or a nickname. ]

[A nod.] Yuri, then.

Zero? Zero from the world of vampires and vampire hunters. How ominous.

[instrumented]

If you want to see it that way. [a casual shrug; that's just every day life for him.]

[tenminutes]

I do, so I'm mentally labeling you Zero the Ominous Ex-Vampire.
