SCHOOL FESTIVAL

WHO: Everyone!
WHAT: School Festival / Arriving in the Afterlife!
WHEN: 9/30/2012. Morning through evening.
WHERE: All around! Mostly at the school, since it is a school festival!
WARNINGS: Potential violence, but since everyone's already dead it's not like it matters, BUT FOR THE MOST PART HUNKY DORY PG! So PG+V? That works.

No matter where it is you woke up, if it's near buildings the sounds of merriment are all around. The shouts of people rooting for the winner of a game, students trying to pull in attention for their booths, adults laughing as they trip over themselves during a sport or someone screaming at the haunted house...

It's then that you realize you're at some kind of festival, everyone's invited, and no one seems to be bothering with money.

Then the realization that you're not even in your clothes. What the hell is this outfit? A school uniform? A janitor? A store clerk? Waitress?

No, no, the bigger question is deinitely "What the hell is going on and where am I?" With nothing but forest and mountains visible in the distance, it's kind of--

[ Was there still a way to get out of this peacefully? Maybe. But being dumped in the middle of no where, after you die, doesn't exactly leave someone in a good mood. And honestly, he cared less what the students coming for them had in mind to talk about. A guy, who looked around their height, stepped out, making a move to grab Yuri's shoulder, beginning to yell about how they were doing this for the festival, and they had no right break thi--

In one fluid motion, Yuri stood, clenched, and swung the chair right at the students side, knocking him straight down. He fell, everyone around them growing quiet as his body landed with a thud. He didn't even look back at the boy to answer him, as almost immediately after, two more came forward. One second of silence, before the stand broke out into chaotic noise, and the two new students yelled back. ]

The hell's baseball? [ Yuri said loudly, switching the chair over to his left hand and bringing it straight into the the two boys, pushing them into one another, and sending them straight back onto the ground. They'd be back up in a second, he knew that. ]

[ What the-- when Leon notices Yuri going like that, he can't help but notice just how skilled the guy is in fighting.. like it's something normal to him. What is this guy supposed to be, some sort of gang member? Nobody can naturally fight like that, and--

WAIT. THAT QUESTION. ]

Shit, who doesn't even know what baseball is?! [ He's about to rant at Yuri over it, but apparently one of the guys found him too since he was the source of the bowl throwing (although not intended that way) to begin with.. Almost out of some self-defense reflex he pushes the guy back with his own chair until he lands on his butt on the floor - he's practically back to back with Yuri now. ]

[ He could feel the guy backing up next to him, so that they now stood back to back, the table knocked over from the sudden movement, and their chairs both in hand. Many of the students had already panicked and ran, while others stood, cheering. Regardless, the ramen stand's crew was getting up off the ground, and back towards them. ]

Yeah, yeah, explain later, watch yourself! [ A punch was thrown towards Yuri, simple, straight forward. Heh, child's play. He dodged to the right with almost no effort, dropping his chair at the same time. Not even two seconds had passed when he brought his own fists up, and with a 1, 2, punch!--knocked the attacker back to the ground. Though really, who was the offender here, at the end of it? Yuri didn't give a damn. ]

[ Leon isn't nearly as efficient or graceful as Yuri is during a fight, but he does try - not like he has a choice in this situation, either way. And it's not like he's a complete pushover physically, so he does manage for the most part. When one of the guys takes up a chair as well and runs at him, Leon swings his own chair against that one - and with the strength in his arms from swinging around bats, it's knocked out of the person's hands with little effort. The boy stares at the chair on the ground and then at his empty hands, but then he quickly turns and decides to run. ]

How many of them are there?!

[ okay, maybe he regrets getting into this situation a teeeensy bit by now. ]

[ As more kept coming, Yuri kept knocking them down and back. Though most of them were easy targets, he took his fair share of hits too. But even so, he was smiling wide. It wasn't until the boy standing next to him spoke that he was pulled back into reality. Ha. There were three already on the ground, out like lightbulbs, and many of the students had already left to avoid getting caught into it. Another one threw a punch towards Yuri. ]

No idea, math's not my strong point. [ A side-step, as he grabbed, the attacker by his arm, twisting his body, and with a yell, flipped him down unto the ground. He looked behind him. ]

Maybe we caused a little too much mischief. [ He said, with an obvious smile on his face. ]

... You're enjoying this, aren't you?

[ He isn't too sure to feel about that, honestly, but either way.. he spots an opening in the crowd of people by now, and Leon does know to get away when the ground under his feet is getting too hot-- he ducks to avoid another guy's punch and then reaches out to grab Yuri's wrist quickly. ] Then enjoy it sometime later, we're getting the hell out of here before they give us dentention or whatever shit it is they give here!

[ And at least nobody could say Leon wasn't quick - all that baseball paid off, okay - since he immediately dashes through the opening with the other guy at top speed, leaving the group of people behind bewildered. He doesn't stop running until they're on the other side of the school building, letting himself flop onto the grass. ]

[ Another punch, another guy down. Yuri drew his hand back one more time, only to have it grabbed by the boy behind him. He was surprised, for a moment, before he heard his words, and the force dragged him along. This didn't wipe the smile off his face though. He just yelled back to the bewildered ramen stand. ]

See ya!

[ Of course, at this point, he snatched his own hand back, and continued to run along side his accomplice. Ha, that was exciting. Shame it was over all ready. It wasn't too long before they were out of site, and the other boy flopped down onto the ground. Yuri himself just stood beside him, catching his breath. ]

Heh...way to go, breaking the bowls like that.

It's not like I did it on purpose!

[ Despite how exhausted he feels, apparently he still has the strength to suddenly yell that back at the other guy. He raises his arms for a moment, leaning them against his forehead and covering half his face for a moment as he tries to get his breath back too - thankfully it doesn't take him too long, super baseball player and all. ]

You were the only one enjoying that, shit..!

I don't know what you're talking about. [ He said with a laugh, as he sat down next to him as well. For a few moments, he stayed like that, but ultimately just laid out flat on his back as well. The brief ecstasy brought on by the fight was fading now, and Yuri could feel the smile leaving his face. He stared up to the sky, his stomach giving a slight growl. ]

You don't think it'd be a bad idea to go back and ask for food, do you? [ He said in a joking manner. ]

If we do, I'm going to use you as a meat shield. [ Who knows whether Leon actually means it or not, he just sounds.. well, a little annoyed, but not even in too bad of a way. The fact that he isn't downright raging says a lot either way, and he lets out a brief grunt, glancing at the boy next to him for a moment before just staring at the sky too instead. ]

... You usually do that all the time? It didn't seem like it was your first time pulling off that shit.

[ Hmmm. Well, all the time wasn't exactly accurate. But saying he never did would have been a lie too. Yuri just shrugged from where he lay, answering nonchalantly. ]

It didn't happen everyday, but I guess I did. I fought a lot, where I came from.

Great, now I'll be associated with some gang dude for the rest of my time here! [ SAYS THE MURDERER, LEON PLS..

in frustration he rolls over a few times (pretty quickly, too) but then ends up lying in the same spot he began in. ]

How else would you have learned how to fight like that? [ apparently Leon doesn't bother getting up, still lying there. ] Are you saying you were in the army instead? Some sort of soldier?

Guess you could say that. [ Yuri sighed and laid back down. ]

Woah, a knight?! [ At that he actually seems a little startled, his head turning so fast in his spot that he's almost flailing as he shouts it (thanks for telling the whole school with your volume, Leon).. ]

Like the kind that wears armor and rides around on horses and all that shit?! No way!

[ Jeez, what was he so surprised for?! ]

Yeah armor, horses, all that. It's not something special though, what the hell?

Of course it's special! There haven't been any knights in.. [ for a moment it's like he's almost actually thinking, but then he just.. gives up.. ]

...What do you mean, medieval times? [ Yuri's face contorted into a half confused, half scowling look. ] What are you talking about...? We just...we're here at the same time. We both just died, right?

I.. I'm sure I just died! [ Leon is freaking out about it too, pretty much, since.. well, he has no idea what this even can mean. This guy is a knight, but.. how..? ]

.. Wait, I got it! [ for once his lightbulb seems to turn on.. ] You're probably from some weird country where there's still knights! Where are you from? [ he'll question how they can speak with each other then later.. ]

[ Hmm...he wasn't really from a country...but, hey, a city would do. ]

Zaphias. It's the capital of the empire, anyway.

What the hell? Is that somewhere in Africa?

... [ ...It didn't ring a bell. But...it was the capital city. Everyone knew about it. ]

...Could say the same to you. The hell's Africa? [ Great. Not only were they dead, but seemed like where they came from was even more complicated than that. ]
