WHERE: All around! Mostly at the school, since it is a school festival!

No matter where it is you woke up, if it's near buildings the sounds of merriment are all around. The shouts of people rooting for the winner of a game, students trying to pull in attention for their booths, adults laughing as they trip over themselves during a sport or someone screaming at the haunted house...

It's then that you realize you're at some kind of festival, everyone's invited, and no one seems to be bothering with money.

Then the realization that you're not even in your clothes. What the hell is this outfit? A school uniform? A janitor? A store clerk? Waitress?

No, no, the bigger question is deinitely "What the hell is going on and where am I?" With nothing but forest and mountains visible in the distance, it's kind of--

[ He heard the door to the bathroom close, and rolled back over. Seemed like the guy headed into it first. Not like it mattered to him. Laid flat on his back, staring at the bottom of the top bunk. There had to be a way out of here. Wherever the hell this was. This couldn't be heaven...maybe it was...

Argh, what was going on?!

After a few minutes pass, and the glare on his face died down, Yuri rose from the bed, making his way over to the bathroom nonchalantly, one hand in his pocket, the other out and knocking on the door. ]

Hey. [ He called out to the boy inside. ]

...Sorry. [ Jeez, this boy was probably just one of the expressionless students around here. Why should he feel bad? ...Well, they were going to be roommates, as long as he was here. He tried to think of something else to say, but, the longer he stood there, the stupider he felt. ] That's all. [ And with that, he went back to his bed, laying back down, sleep still not wanting to come to him.</small. ]

[ ... Chihiro could hear the apology coming through after he turned the shower faucet on. The noise didn't cover it enough. He opens his mouth to apologize back, but- that should wait until he was decently dressed again.

The shower will be quick, just like the drying and dressing. The clothes are a little larger than his normal size, but at least they're not falling off, so that's okay.

He pokes his head out a few moments later. Ah, the stranger returned to bed... he's not that much rude after all. He appreciated the apology, but he feels that it wasn't needed. Almost sure that Yuri's sleeping by now, he stands there for some time, debating on strategies to reach the top bed without making much noise. ]

[ Guess who wasn't still asleep? It was impossible. Every time he tried closing his eyes, the vivid images of walls crumbling down around him, the water rushing in, only caused him to toss and roll over, trying to forget about it. He could hear the sounds of the shower shutting off, the other boy changing, and eventually, nothing. It sounded like he hadn't gone up into the bed. He opened one eye.

Sure enough, there he was. He sighed. ]

Something wrong?

[ That... solves half of the problem. This would have been a little easier if they had two separate beds instead ot the bunk type, but regardless... ]

I'm sorry, d-did I- did I wake you up again...?

[ Tch, this guy was quick to apologize. He dressed like a girl, he acted like a girl...was he really a guy after all? Yuri didn't retort, just shaking his head. ]

Can't really sleep anyway. You can go ahead and go up if you need to.

[superhacker]

... Okay.

[ He got the permission, so she's going to go ahead and climb... up...

... Wait.

Chihiro realizes that since this guy knows of his secret, he might accidentally reveal it to someone. He's... still not ready for that. Even if he swore to himself to become stronger, he didn't even start going through with it yet. It would be awful if the whole school knew... if Leon knew... ]

U-Um... can I ask you for... a favor?

[ He's so afraid to say this, but... it needs to be cleared out- be sure that he can trust the guy with at least this small favor, or else he won't be able to sleep in peace tonight. ]

[ ...A favor? They barely knew each other. They just met not even thirty minutes ago. He was tempted to just say whatever, forget about it but...damn, he was always bad at saying no to this stuff. ]

What is it? You want the bottom bunk instead?

[superhacker]

No... no, it's not that.

[ He waves his hand. Somehow that urges him to explain what it's about, before he bothers Yuri further. ]

This... fact that I'm not... I'm not what I look like... [ Sob. ] You're the only one knowing that... s-so, please don't tell anyone else. It's important that I keep this a secret...

[ ...Important, huh? Yuri's expression softened a bit, though he continued to look away. Jeez, he really did look like a girl. ]

...You've got a reason, right? ...Won't it be hard getting in and out of the dorms dressed like that?

[superhacker]

I... I know that. I'll have to find a way, but- I can't let everyone see me here.

[ Because this is all new and he apparently got here a few hours ago, he didn't have the time to think about that. ]

[ ...He wasn't going anywhere, at this rate. Meaning these dorms would be his place to say for who knew how long. His face contorted into a confused expression, for just amount, before he sighed.

...Well, he said it was important. As bad as his mood was, he couldn't just ignore the boy now. No way he could pull something off like this himself. He didn't look like he had a single muscle on his body. ]

...Guess we can always sneak you in and out. If it came to that.

[ Eh? Did he just imply that he's... going to help out? ]

[ He looked to the boy, who responded with surprise, before scowling. He wasn't just gonna let his secret get revealed. Not if it was important. ]

I'm only gonna do as much as I can. You gotta put some effort into it too, you know.

[ Although he practically says this bit loudly, he's nothing but determinated to keep his secret dormant while in here. Nobody will know, and he'll make damn sure of that... with some help, obviously. ]

[ And then his expression relaxes considerably. His roomate is a kind person after all. Chihiro tries to give out half a smile. ]

Thank you for the help, mister... er...

[ It dawns on him that they didn't even introduce themselves. ] My-- my name is Chihiro Fujisaki!

[ Oh. Right. Introductions. ]

Yuri Lowell. [ He said, sitting up and moving to the edge of his bed. ]

So. Got any ideas for how we can do this?

[ His shoulders slump a little. He looks aside, undecided. ]

I thought that maybe I could sneak in and out at times where nobody is around, but that's... not doable if people have different schedules, right?

[ Yeah. Not to mention who knows who's gonna be up when and where. Practically speaking, going out the door was going to be impossible. How did he even get in? Yuri's eyes trailed from their door, over the room, over his dejected expression, and to the curtains on the far wall. A smirk appeared on his face. ]

How good can you land from a jump, Chihiro?

[ ... Eh? ]

Why are you asking...? [ The confusion doesn't... last long, because then he sees Yuri's face, and how he's not looking at him- but beside him... where the window is. Quick to reach conclusions, Chihiro's eyes widen and his face turns almost violet in horror. ]

Wh... you want me to--

[ Yuri just shrugged at that. He could get why he wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea, but come on, did they really have much other choice? What was he gonna do, stuff him under his shirt and walk out? ]

Well, the front door is out of the question.

[superhacker]

[ Except the fact he might seriously break his legs if he jumps from the height! He nearly sweats bullets here. ]

I'm not... not good at landing from this height at all. [ To answer the previous question. ]

[ ...Well, that was a good point. Yuri looked back at him, sizing him up. He was much smaller than Yuri was, and had what looked like almost no real muscles. Jeez, no wonder he looked so natural in dresses. The hair and face didn't help. ]

...Then we'll both jump. I'll carry you and make sure we land well. This height shouldn't be a big deal. [ He's jumped from higher, after all. ]

[ ... Wow.

He would have never imagined that someone like this guy would really do something like this for his sake. Carry him down from the window every morning... perhaps even help him back up- would that be too much to ask? But, being told this is... enough for Chihiro to see Yuri in a different light.

Yuri is sure tall... and if he can jump out of the window without fear, he must be also strong and brave! ...Like he ever wished to be.

He realizes a little too late that he's been staring at the other guy for over a minute, without answering to the offer. Snapping rather abruptly, Chihiro nods rapidly. He doesn't want to take advantage of such kindness, however, he's got no other choice for now. ]

I-if it's possible, then we can do that!

[ ...The silence went on a bit longer than Yuri had expected, and all the while, Chihiro was just staring at him. At first, Yuri just looked back, but...it didn't take long before his blank expression changed into one of exasperation. Uh...earth to Chihiro? He was about to say something, to ask if he was alright, but it seemed like he had snapped out of it before he needed to say anything. ]

Yeah, it shouldn't be too hard. Just wake me up whenever you want to leave, I guess. Everyone goes out the front, so no one should see us. [ He sighed. Jeez, he couldn't even go a day without ending up pulled into something, huh? Well, this was only until he could find a way out, or figure out just what was going on. There was no smile on his face, but his voice wasn't harsh anymore. ]
