The Underground Opens / Journey to Guild

WHO: Everyone!
WHAT: School Festival Day 3: The Underground Opens / Journey to Guild
WHEN: 9/30/3013. Any time.
WHERE: Surface, passages to Guild, Guild.
WARNINGS: Fighting, language, freakouts!! Let me know if there's anything else!
SUMMARY: After dealing with the shadows for a day, The SSS finally managed to get a team down into Guild to clear out any shadows that had made it down that far already. The Underground is being announced as temporary cover and any may head down there if they choose to.

It'd been quite a few hours since the shadows had first appeared, but it wasn't as though no one had been doing anything. Everyone had been fighting, hiding, running-- anything they could to keep others safe. It wasn't much but around 3:00AM on the 30th, a mass series of text messages was sent out to everyone.

Message 1: Guild cleared of shadows. Need fighters to protect. SSS invites all to take shelter. Entrance in gym (seats pulled, take ladder in pull-out) or underwater through river. Find SSS member to lead you. Traps still set. Be careful. SSS will send out regular teams to fetch bodies who failed to get in. Can't disarm to keep shadows out. Attached is list in order of booby traps for Gym entrance.

Message 2: Ceiling Hammers (Just don't get hit)
Rolling Boulder- whole tunnel. Run. Take corridor on right.
Lasers- Use smoke bombs near entrance to see & dodge. Panel code is 44917.
Collapsing Ceiling- Run. Panel code 62108.
Go down hall, keep to edge or floor will fall into pit of spikes.
Get into underwater area. Swim through underwater hall. Head toward side with stairs.
Ignore puppy it is just a toy.
Don't fall down waterfall.
Take stairs and follow until reach Guild.

[ he's definitely not dumb enough to question the messages when everything is going to hell above, but once he's arrived, he's eager to find somewhere that seems as safe and quiet as possible to reply to who he assumes is yuri. ]

[Riki made it down here unharmed, somehow. He made sure to follow the instructions for avoiding the booby traps very closely, and fortunately it worked out for him. He can only imagine how Kyousuke would react to all of this if he were here, but alas...

Either way, once he's down in the Guild, he walks around to get a good sense of the scenery, and to look for any familiar faces. Aaand then he walks past Akashi doop doop...]

[ how inattentive. — and concerning, considering the npcs up top. ]

[ he's decently loud and pretty clear when he calls to him, still minding his cell phone. ]

[Fortunately, Akashi doesn't need to be concerned about Riki turning into an NPC. His inattentiveness is more caused by the fact that he's a little spaced out by this all, so... But when Akashi speaks up, he's quick to hear him and look over in his direction.]

Seijuro-san!

[His voice is a little eager, to be honest. He's just happy to see that people he knows made it down to Guild alright.]

[ good news. he nods to him, just slightly. ]

You're in good health, I hope?

[He hurries on over to his companion, nodding.]

Y-yeah... I somehow managed to make it down here okay... I'm glad to see that you made it too.

[ it was easy enough for him. ]

Of course. With such a thorough defense, I wasn't sure how many would arrive safely without escort.

Yeah, I can imagine... I guess I just got lucky. Though it took a really long time since I had to be even more careful with no one else around.

[ that doesn't bode well. ]

Really? You didn't see anyone on your way?

[He shakes his head.]

No, not really... I heard people way ahead of me or far behind, but it's not like it would have been a good idea to wait around in the middle of all the traps for anyone.

Other entrances exist but I'm trying to keep people away from them. The less attention drawn to them the better- aren't as well guarded. We'll need people at them just in case.

I can't help with that. [ his basketball superpowers aren't really applicable to this kind of thing. ] Is this your weapons production plant?

If we don't have enough people I'll need you to at least watch them. I won't put you at an entrance that's likely to see combat though.

It used to be, back when Guild was active. We had a lot of people down here. More than are right now.

Everyone disappeared. Even I disappeared, I don't know how I'm back.

No one here's been exactly an expert at it since.

Do we have anything better to divert our attention to down here? [ other than the obvious guarding. ]

Well, here's one person who doesn't quite qualify as just an acquaintance coming in through the entrance looking more than put off and a little messier than normal because of the particular dangers of the entranceway. As he walks through, he's glancing back at the entrance like he's expecting something to follow him out... only, you know, with a more stoic line-face. ]

in any case, he qualifies as a priority. ]

I didn't find the obstacles so harrowing.

Midorima looks up at him as he adjusts the bandages on his fingers. Yes, he still has them. He picked up some bandages from the nurse's office before this whole thing went to shit. At least he's managed to kept his head. Midorima didn't get injured during his quest to make it down here because he's definitely fit enough to manage when they're given prior instructions about what's to come. However, even if they're dead and Midorima isn't afraid of some pain (no pain no gain after all), the fact that if they got injured and stuck it meant that the shadows could easily catch up to them made it a bit more frightening.

Still, Midorima reached into his pocket. Before he'd headed down here, this particular brand of moron had gone far enough to go grab some lecture notes to make sure he had his lucky item. He'd been number 1 in luck the day this had started and since the lucky item listing on his phone had been too vague, he hadn't managed to get the correct lucky item, it certainly lent credence to his idea that it was, as always, a 100% necessity. So he really had taken the time to get lecture notes from one of the classrooms before he headed down here.

Still, seeing Akashi was somewhat different than his expectations. Even if he'd seen the name in his phone, actually believing it was another story. He's not going to let himself react visibly to that though, even if he's conflicted between both disappointment at them both being dead and being glad that even though he's dead, he'll still have a chance to play basketball against Akashi. 8| ]

And excuse you not everyone practices with the threat of hospitalization and permanent disabling if they lose a game like Rakuzan. Midorima just had to avoid pineapples when he was a brat. ]

akashi knows better than to be surprised at midorima's devotion to his taping, or his lucky items, even (especially?) in the case of the afterlife. they certainly haven't ever hurt his luck (or his skill, though they're mostly useful for making sure he arrives at the court, and little else).

well — midorima's predictability is one of his favorite traits, anyway. ]

[ Midorima was fairly relieved about that, even if his expression didn't show it. Despite everything, he still did care whether or not Akashi was doing alright. Even if he really wanted to beat him, that much rang true. Or perhaps after things had gone strangely it was more true than ever, since Midorima was keenly aware that something strange had happened.

This was an entirely different situation, though. ]
