saving you because lbr you stink at noticing things

WHO: Sougo and Celica
WHAT: Eviction event
WHEN: April 5th, just as the dorms are being engulfed
WHERE: The dorms
WARNINGS: Possible violence, otherwise I dunno.
SUMMARY: Sougo tries to escape from the shadow trying to engulf the dorms, but then realizes a certain other person might not realize what's going on.

[What in the world is going on outside. Not that Sougo really cared for anything that was happening around the school, but that NPC post sure as hell did make him think about the outcomes. Man, and just as he was getting his strive for this place as well...

But he knows that shadow enveloping the dorms is bad news in the first place. So, what is his first course of action? Jumping out of his own dorm room window of course. He doesn't want to be around for when this place goes to hell, and nor does he want to see people running out of the doors, getting cramped up against one another. With a small sigh, he readies himself for impact as he dives out of it, glass flying everywhere, himself suspended before he finally hits the ground, rolling on it and making sure everything on him is completely fine. Nothing broken...he's done this thousands of times so it shouldn't be any different. With a small sigh, he gets to his feet, dusting himself off of any glass that might have caught on him.]

What a pain. Here I thought I was going to have a nice day to myself. Looks like God has something against all of us. [He muses, tilting his head as he heads away from the school as a thought strikes him. A thought that shouldn't come to him in the first place. He's probably going to regret doing his in the first place, but...

With a shrug, he begins to head over to the girl's dorm, and sure enough, the same thing seems to be happening. This really isn't going to go well for him is it. Whatever the case is, he just strolls on into the dorm itself, before he lets out a loud call.]

OIIIIIII, AKA-CHAAAAAAAAN! I'M GOING TO HOLD YOUR VIRGINITY HOSTAGE IF YOU DON'T COME OUT IMMEDIATELY! OOOOOOOOI!!

[He'll drop the NPC thing for the time being, rubbing the back of his head with what free hands he has.]

I'm asking why are you the way you are. How did you grow up like that? There has to be a reason. Who shaped you into the person you are? Or what did?

[He'd share his reason later, but he's still curious.]

Oh, um... [...How is she supposed to answer something like that--]

Hm... I don't know? That's just the way I am, I guess. My sister is very different than me, for starters. And my mother died from an illness when I was young. As for my father, he was always busy in his lab, and was even declared missing a while ago, ahah... So I don't think any of them could have influenced me in particular. But maybe that's why my family and friends are so important to me.

[Does that answer his question?]

[So that answers it, huh. He wasn't expecting something like that, but...]

So you didn't have that much of a family, either... [he sighs, actually stopping her from dragging him any further so he can get up on his own two feet.] That's surprising, I thought you would have had one. What happened to your own sister, though? Were you with her the whole time when you grew up...?

[A tilt of his head now.]

[She nods, watching him stand back up.]

I wouldn't say that, really. I still have them! Just... they weren't really around, eheh... But yes, I've always been with my sister. We even went to school together. Though I left in the middle of it to search for my father, so I haven't seen her since.

[A beat.] ...Or well, as far as I remember, anyway. My memories are still a little hazy from coming here.

[...huh. He heard something similar to that before, but now that he thinks about it...]

Tell me about your sister then, and how she was different then you. I'm honestly not convinced that some of her traits didn't rub off on you somehow.

[Sougo, none of Mitsuba's traits rubbed off on you at all!!] But if your memory is a bit hazy, then I don't know if I can fully judge you based on memory lapses.

It's just that I don't remember things after a certain point in time. I can recall some things, but most things after that time I'm unsure about.

[The last thing she remembers is Ragna getting kicked in the face by someone-- ahem.]

But, um... Like I said, she can use all kinds of magic that I can't. Strong, kind, and cool... That's her! And she's waaaay more stylish than I am. She doesn't like our father much at all though, and sometimes she worries just a liiiittle bit too much over me and our friend Trinity.

Ah, I see. Hm, well, there's no use beating a dead brain if it can't remember some things well. I suppose I'll leave it as is.

[But he clears his throat for a moment, before adding;]

So she really is a more enhanced version of you. Looks like you're slacking, Aka-chan. [No he means this affectionately, really.] ...but still, you were lucky if you had someone like that by your side. I'm sorry that she isn't with you now.

[H-hey... Excuse you! Again! She pouts at his former statement, but then slackens up as he finishes.]

--Oh, no, it's fine. I mean, I do miss her a lot, but considering where we are, well... her being here wouldn't be so great after all. I'd just be happy enough knowing that she's safe and alive. But I'm sure she is.

[Nine would not let someone kill her off that easily, wowie.]

I'm sure she'd be fine here, if she knew all sorts of magic and is strong and cool. That, and I'd love to fight a strong opponent like that. [There's a weird glint in his eye as he says that, but he shakes his head.]

Either way, I'm enlightened to you a bit more now. It makes it harder to screw with you now, but I'm sure I'd find some way of doing it.

[Like sticking a bunch of hot sauce packets in her food, for one.]

[Sougo do not pick fights with Nine.......

But Celica laughs at that.]

Ahah... Well, I should probably be asking you the same thing now, so... What about you? Is there any person or reason behind the way you are? You mentioned having an older sister before too, didn't you?

[Ah. That.

Sougo is quiet for a moment, placing a hand on his chin as he thinks this over.]

I do have an older sister. Didn't I tell you this before? When I was young, I lost both my mother and my father, so I only had my sister to rely on. She was the one who raised me, though she didn't do a very good job at it. [He sighs, rubbing the back of his head.]

Though if I had to say, she's like you. A kind heart, kind smile...I wonder where I went wrong. [A small laugh.] She's gone now, though. I wonder if she's having a better time in the afterlife then I am.

[--Ah, that's... Celica's expression clearly falls upon hearing his story.]

You told me you had an older sister, but I don't think you told me about the rest of that. [A pause.] I'm... I'm really sorry, though. I'm sure that wherever your sister is, she's thinking about you... and I'm sure she definitely wouldn't think you went wrong anywhere, either. I'd say you turned out just fine.

[Because of his comment though, she's pretty curious as to what kind of person his sister is. She definitely sounds nice, at least.]

[A pause on his part as he reflects Celica's words, a slight laugh coming out of him.]

I can only imagine what she must be thinking right now, if she's living a peaceful life that is. Heh, now that I'm thinking about it, you would say the type of words she would say to me if I were doubting myself. That's the type of person she is.

[Miiiinus the whole spicy addiction thing at least. And the haircut. Otherwise Celica could pass off as Mitsuba...]

Ah... Do you really think so? She sounds like a nice person. I wish I could have met her.

[Partially because she just seems kind, and also because she's Sougo's sister, of all people.]

She really was kind. Though I did question her choices in love interests, she...well, she was the only one who was there for me, and I wanted her to experience happiness before she passed away.

[A small sigh, before he gives a hand motion.]

So, guess you know more about me. Do you want to be upgraded to supreme bitch?

I see... Well, in that case, I think you were a wonderful brother to her.

[Now, moving on...]

Would that mean we're even better friends now? Because otherwise, that sounds like the sort of thing Sena warned me against, you know.

[She's mostly just messing around, but.]

I would hope not, considering it was the last thing she said to me.

[He isn't sorry for anything he says, okay. And it's true, Sena has a head full of air, what does she even talk about...]

I'm glad to see someone actually appreciates me for who I am. And how odd is it to come from someone like you. Nevertheless, like I'd do something like that to you. You're...well.

[CONCEAL DON'T FEEL...]

Well, I couldn't see you any other way! You are who you are, and I like who you are, so.

[Celica please.]

You're an annoying thorn in my side that refuses to accept anything I tell her, and constantly badgers me and saying things she shouldn't.

[A beat.]

Basically, you're a f...fffff.....friiiiiiii....frIIIIEEEE....

[His throat is clogging up, give him a moment as he's straining himself to get the word out.]

[Of course, she's not actually offended by his statement or anything. It's just regular ol' Sougo. If anything, she's surprised about his attempt to drop the F-bomb... but she'll encourage it all the same!]

Come on, you can do it! You're almost there.

[STOP ENCOURAGING HIM...he looks like he's about to blow up, judging from how puffed out his cheeks are. In the end, though, he lets out a big gust of air.]

Aaah, forget it! If I say the word, I'm sure to froth at the mouth. No way am I going to say something stupid like that!

Ooooh, come on! You were so close... Just this once?

[She honestly wouldn't even mind if he didn't say it, since she gets the point already; the sentiment already presented itself. But she wants to at least tryyyy getting it out of him... maybeeee...]
