WHERE: All around! Mostly at the school, since it is a school festival!

No matter where it is you woke up, if it's near buildings the sounds of merriment are all around. The shouts of people rooting for the winner of a game, students trying to pull in attention for their booths, adults laughing as they trip over themselves during a sport or someone screaming at the haunted house...

It's then that you realize you're at some kind of festival, everyone's invited, and no one seems to be bothering with money.

Then the realization that you're not even in your clothes. What the hell is this outfit? A school uniform? A janitor? A store clerk? Waitress?

No, no, the bigger question is deinitely "What the hell is going on and where am I?" With nothing but forest and mountains visible in the distance, it's kind of--

[ At first he hardly even realises why Chihiro is so frightened to see him, he just assumes Chihiro's surprised since.. well, this whole situation is weird.. ]

Hey.. what's wrong?

[ He looks pretty confused because of it himself, but then.. slowly.. it starts to hit him. Right, he.. died. He's sure he did. He died, and they all saw it, they were standing there watching him, so.. .. right, he doesn't know why he's living, so Chihiro probably doesn't know either, right? Ugh, thinking about it just makes his stomach turn again. ]

.. Wait. [ he almost.. pouts a little as he frowns. ] Don't think I'm some sort of zombie or whatever, it's really me, okay?!

[ The more he looks at Leon, the more he's picturing him tied to that pole, hit by all those baseballs- and, all the blood sprinkling everywhere. It would probably be rude, but Chihiro averts his eyes, hands joined together and body starting to shake.

If he's acting so nonchalantly, the smaller boy starts wondering if he even remembers that he died... there are so many "whys" running in his head and no answers at all. ]

... S... sorry.... sorry...

[ Apologizing for being scared sure is the only thing he can do, other than... being scared. ]

Sorry-- .. h-hey! [ Why is he apologizing?! Now it's just getting more confusing, confusing stuff piled on top of other confusing stuff.. little does Leon realise this is just the way Chihiro is, but for now he's just right back to freaking out again. ]

At least say what you're apologizing for..!

Wait, is 'she' going to cry? Chihiro's going to cry, huh.. oh god, no, how does he deal with this?! He's never had to deal with crying girls before, usually they just yell at him or kick him or something but not this?! And it feels strangely weird to not do anything, so.. so what?! There's no solution, is there? ]

I.. it's okay! I forgive you, I forgive you already! [ he's just franctically trying to speak now, almost tripping over his own words-- JUST DON'T CRYYY... ] So.. don't cry, okay?!

[ Chihiro hiccups rather pitifully at that, struggling to look at Leon in the face again. But those scary images keep coming back, and- and he's not sure it would be a good thing to bring the execution up, explain why he's crying like this, justify himself... so he tries to calm down. Tries is the keyword here. ]

Th...ank you... [ His lower lip quivers, eyes glistening with tears. ] Kuwata-kun... I just... didn't expect you here.

[ Yeah, this is what it comes down to in the end, right? It's all because of his execution that this whole situation is weird. He knows he's supposed to be dead too, but at the same time he can't exactly find this situation bad since he's at least alive, but..

.. How is he supposed to explain something he doesn't even get? ]

Since.. I'm dead, right? [ He's uncharacteristically quiet, rubbing his hair somewhat awkwardly. ]

So he knows. Leon knows of his own death. It should make things easier, but instead, it weighs down on him that Kuwata-kun must be suffering because of that. He must have remembered how he died... unlike Chihiro himself. It must hurt... and because of that, Chihiro feels guilty for even slightly making him remember that. He can't help but emphatize, even if Leon marked himself with a terrible crime that earned him the execution. He sniffles again, new tears coming out.

Despite how confusing this whole situation is, he still... can't help it. ]

I'm sorry, Kuwata-kun... I'm so sorry.

[ Honestly, he still feels incredibly crappy about dying. Maybe deep down he realises he has some blame for the whole situation too, but he doesn't dare to consciously admit it - it's a whole can of feelings that he doesn't want to open. It's easier to blame Maizono, just think of her as some sort of crazy monster who attacked him. It's her fault, because of her he died, and he even died.. in a way like that..

He was still so young..! He had a lot of dreams left to fulfill, and--.. and now he's alive again? All of a sudden? And Fujisaki's there and oh god 'she' is going to cry again-- THIS IS NOT THE FUTURE HE HAD PICTURED FOR HIMSELF.

Still, just standing here and watching Chihiro crying makes him feel.. incredibly awkward. So slowly (so to not scare him) he walks over to his classmate, and reaaally slowly and awkwardly he moves his arm to give Chihiro the most awkward headpat ever. N-now better?! ]

.. Don't worry about it. It's.. all that retarded bear's fault, isn't it? [ that, and Maizono's, but he isn't going to yell about it now or he'll just freak Chihiro out all over again.. ]

[ While in the midst of trying to wipe at his eyes in vain, Chihiro feels something that's been placed on the top of his head... it's warm. When he opens his eyes again, he sees that Leon got closer and now he's... patting his head. Between feeling scared or relieved to feel the touch, have the proof that indeed Leon Kuwata is alive and well... he struggles to choose the latter. He's still one of his classmates, and it means Chihiro is no longer alone here. They can stick together and find out what's going on... together, right?

He finally finds some little courage in himself to look up at Leon, shaking like a little scared rabbit. ]

Monobear's fault... [ ... That's definitely it. They didn't accept to be locked in the school and psychologically tortured. It all happened because of their kidnapper's sadistic idea! He nods weakly, sniffling. ] It's- it's true...

[ ... ah?! D-don't look up at him like that, what are you expecting from him?! Why that teary face-- oh god, isn't there some emergency exit out of this situation? This is only getting more and more awkward no matter what he does..

But.. on the other hand, at least Chihiro's agreeing with Leon rather than blaming him for killing Maizono (in Leon's head this is the full situation, either way) so that's.. one good thing. ]

And I haven't seen that fucking bear around yet, so.. maybe he isn't even here, then shit can't be worse at least, right?!

[ of course he'd expect some collaboration, since... Leon is the only one he found so far among the students he knows, and until they find the others- he's going to stick with the taller guy. Sorry Leon. ]

[ Hey, it's a girl figuratively clinging to him finally.. except it's not the kind of 'girl' he expected.. ]

... No, I didn't see any of them. [ he makes sort of a dumb face at that, because.. honestly, he doesn't feel too much like running into them - at least chihiro here isn't calling him a murderer or anything, but some of the others.. ] So far you're the first one I saw. That's why I was so surprised!

[ Oh no... is it just the two of them? Chihiro reaches out, gently grabbing Leon's sleeve. ]

Then we should look for them! Maybe they're somewhere we haven't looked yet...

Let's go then! [ at least he seems re-energized - or even if he isn't, he's pretending to be. ] Knowing that fatty, he'll probably be at that eating competition set up, right? No way he'd miss up on that!

Chihiro nods at that, a little relieved that Leon wants to help eventually. ]

A-ah, you mean Yamada-kun? [ Who else, Chihiro? ... Not like right out guessing was that kind either. He mentally apologizes to the "fatty" in question. ] I haven't thought of that... ah, there's a competition?

Yeah, didn't you see? [ He's already walking in the direction of the school's exit. He's.. practically dragging Chihiro along like this, since Chihiro's holding his sleeve.. ]

I don't know what's going on over here, but there's this big festival outside! They're playing baseball and all too.

I'm good at it, but being good at it and enjoying it are two different things entirely! I just play since the coach always comes to ask me personally, that's all, and--

[ It must be quite the sight, the two of them walking down the hallway and now out of the building with Chihiro clinging to his arm.. and Leon himself just.. well, yelling and slightly blushing, even.. ]

.. It's.. not like I missed playing it while we were stuck in that school! Not at all!
