It was Halloween, otherwise known as Hallow's Eve. And the stage was set for an amazing party, otherwise known as the extravaganza of the year. Haruhi had it all planned out: there were booths decorated in orange and black, balloons that looked like pumpkins, ghosts, and witches, games and prizes galore, live music, and so much more.

Sure, people may have 'died', but you know what they say: the show must go on! And go on, it shall. In front of the doors to the auditorium is an orange carpet and a rope blocking the entrance.

So, come on, relax, and have some fun!

Oh.. Madoka-chan, you should try again. The only way to get better at baking is to practice. I was absolutely horrible at it when I started, it was inedible!

I wouldn't want to waste ingredients though.. there's a lot of people who are suffering from hunger in the world, that just wouldn't be fair.

Well, if we'd get into a situation again like when we had to hide from the shadows, then we'd need all the food we can get too, right? It's the same thing!

I think it just crops up like magic.

It has to be, doesn't it? It looks real and tastes real and it does the same thing..

Yes, but food has to be made of certain things, usually.. they can't just make up those things out of nowhere, can they? Something seems wrong with that..

...Yeah but the only idea about where food comes from in the afterlife is really sad and a little disturbing.

Yeah, but.. t-that means we won't die even if we don't eat. So.. it'll be alright..

It still hurts if you don't though right? You could just become a vegetarian.

Ah.. um, I just ate normally! But somehow in this place it feels different, you know..? If we'd eat them, then it'd be like they die again.. like they don't even get to enjoy their afterlife. Doesn't that sound cruel..?

I guess you can just become a vegetarian since plants can't feel anything, right?

.. You're really sure they can't? If even they can die and go to the afterlife, it's almost like they might feel something after all..

It might just be that they grow here.
