SUMMARY: Winter fun all around

12th: Look Dave, IT'S SNOWINGGGGGGGGG!!! Students and other NPCs are beginning to hang Christmas lights all around the town and school too. Everything looks pretty at night, even the gardens in the town and school.

13th: Today in home economics class: its time to start baking some homemade cookies and making peppermint hot chocolate.

14th: Kendo club starts today in the dojo!! Some posters have been hung up around the school for a while. Anyone want to go in and try it out or maybe even join??

15th: Hey--look up! Yeah, it's exactly what you see. Mistletoe has been put up under almost every doorway! What now.

16th: A lot of the NPCs are heading up to the mountains today. Why? For skiing and snowboarding of course! Skis, snowboards and even sleds are in the gym's equipment room.  Who's up for some winter fun?



*As a little note, from the 12th until the end of the month it will be snowing! Nothing heavy but there will be a few inches of snow sticking to the ground.

Same things apply as last time! If you'd like to do something outside of the activities we've provided feel free to do so! Remember that there is a basketball team now so practices can be set up on whatever days you all choose.

He looked sort of American, but since you guys are going on about practically a different world, I'd guess America isn't even a place anymore.

America? [Yuri, they don't have a moon. Why would they have America?]

Is that a city?

It's a continent. Are you from a different planet altogether or what?

What's a continent?

[That should answer her question.]

We don't have a moon and we don't have green plants or the blue sky. [Though the last two were because of the Lord Ruler...]

I think if we had a moon it could just be the Lord Ruler changed things, but we don't.

[tenminutes]

You know, giant land mass separated from the other land masses but too big to just be an island.

[ Yuri looks thoughtful, then makes her decision. ] So you're an alien, then.

[But she doesn't know.]

So they're surrounded by water? [She's never actually seen the ocean...]

If an alien is someone from a different world.

Earth's surface is like 71% water, give or take. I think that's just the oceans, I'm not sure how much of that is rivers and lakes.

[ Yuri takes a moment to think about it. ]

A different world would be an alien, I guess. Technically anyone from another country or planet is an alien, so you'd be an extra-extra alien. As it stands, we're all in the same place now so I guess that's the only thing that matters.

So there's a lot less land than water. Are there a lot of continents?

[She nods.]

Extra-extra alien or not, we're all here. Something is probably the same. [Whether it's the 'true' religion or something else - being human, for example.]

[ Yuri nods, stretching her hands out in front of her. ] Want to know what it is?

[Seven...If there's only seven, they must be large.

Vin hesitates then nods. Hopefully she won't say what she already knows -- that they're all dead. If that's all, why aren't the others here?]

If you've got all your memories... then you probably remember something horrible happening. Something completely unfair, that you had no control over. Your life not being in your own hands or everything just spiraling so far out of what you could call "okay" no matter how much you tried to hold onto the few things that could still make you think that something was going to be alright. You've got regrets or went through something that no one could ever take back. Right?

[Her entire life almost has been something horrible happening...]

I...suppose. [Marsh breaking her bones and laughing while Ruin killed the world probably counted for that...

But so did a lot of the rest of her life. Kelsier dying, Elend almost dying, Clubs, Dox, what happened to Saze...Snapping might count too.]

Is that it? [If it is...then where are the other Allomancers?]

Roughly. There are probably more specific things too, but as far as generalized characteristics go, that's something everyone has in common here.

But wouldn't that make there be a lot more people here?

I think... [She'd been about to say all but the nobility, but given what Elend told her about them being beaten to see if they'd Snap...] ...almost everyone from my world would come here after they died then. [But that's not the case.]

[tenminutes]

You would think. There's not really anyone who lived a happy-dappy life filled with happiness here though. Oh, and everyone seems to be pretty young. No old people here.

[That might make it a bit easier to narrow down who might be here...Clubs probably won't show up then.]

"Happy-dappy" lives are rare. [At least, she doesn't think she's ever met anyone who led one for most of their life. Breeze is the closest she can think of.]

I guess "normal" then. Normal wouldn't qualify for here either.

[Normal...]

So...average. [Most of the Skaa wouldn't be able to show up here then; there's more of them than there are nobility, and the wealthiest Skaa was worse off than the lowest noble. At least, that's how it'd looked to her.]

...What happens if you lose the regrets that brought you here?

[tenminutes]

You disappear.

[ Plain and simple. Yuri doesn't exactly know all of the factors in this, but she knows that that seems to be what happens if you don't have something to hang onto. ]

Where? [Disappearing is simple, but...do they get reborn? Or do they just go somewhere worse? Does anyone know?]

Well no one knows for sure, it's not like anyone comes back. General consensus is that you get reincarnated.

Hopefully it's into a better life. [If that's even true.]

If you disappear too soon or with regrets, you might end up as a sardine with a gimp fin.
